Pro Mod Qualifying Notes, Final Session

MARTIN, Mich. - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Aeromotive Fuel Systems Pro Mod at the 2013 ADRL Tour presented by Speedtech, ADRL Summer Drags IX listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Larry Higginbotham Runs 3.998/179.10, Now #13; Best prior run: 4.038/178.16, Was #13
Right Lane: Raymond Matos Runs 4.116/150.37, Now #6; Best prior run: 3.931/191.24, Was #6

8:33 p.m. Jason Hamstra is on the bump spot at 4.058.

Higginbotham made his best run of the day, stayed 13th. Matos failed to improve, but should be safely in the top half of the field.

Left Lane: Jeff Lutz Runs 3.967/196.24, Now #9; Best prior run: 3.961/196.75, Was #9
Right Lane: Clint Satterfield Runs 6.421/72.54, Now #19; Best prior run: 4.344/179.11, Was #19

Lutz has been pretty consistent during qualifyiung, with a final run slightly slower than his best. Satterfield failed to improve and won't be on the ladder for tomorrow.

Left Lane: Jim Bell Runs 5.396/93.33, Now #20; Best prior run: 20.683/89.60, Was #20
Right Lane: Dave Roemer No Time, Now #18; Best prior run: 4.332/172.72, Was #18

This one hurt to watch. Bell shook and slowed. Roemer also shook and his car got out of shape and spun out, sliding across the centerline and nosing into the left wall. It was not a hard impact, but there was visible dmaage to the nose of the car. Neither driver will be on the ladder for tomorrow.

Left Lane: Steve Matusek Runs 4.505/167.77, Now #17; Best prior run: 4.233/173.41, Was #17
Right Lane: Chip King Runs 4.039/194.29, Now #11; Best prior run: 3.977/196.25, Was #11

Two turbo cars, so we had a mini-WWIII before the light went green. Matusek shook and pedaled, but lost too much time and won't be on the ladder.

Left Lane: Adam Flamholc Runs 3.924/191.26, Now #3; Best prior run: 3.946/189.64, Was #8
Right Lane: Jimmy Keen Runs 3.940/190.23, Now #5; Best prior run: 3.929/190.17, Was #4

Two nice runs and a nice show for the crowd. Flamholc improved enough to leapfrog over Keen on the ;adder.

Left Lane: Kenny Lang Runs 6.556/69.92, Now #12; Best prior run: 3.998/189.61, Was #12
Right Lane: Jason Hamstra Runs 5.792/96.67, Now #16; Best prior run: 4.058/184.15, Was #16

Lots of shake in both lanes, but both will be on the ladder tomorrow.

Left Lane: Rickie Smith Runs 3.873/193.79, Now #12; No Prior Run
Right Lane: Dan Stevenson Runs 4.086/172.93, Now #16; No Prior Run

Left Lane: Rickie Smith Runs 3.873/193.79, Now #1; Best prior run: 3.902/193.39, Was #1
Right Lane: Dan Stevenson Runs 4.086/172.93, Now #14; Best prior run: 4.042/185.81, Was #14

Smith made his best run of the day to improve his grip on the top spot. Stevenson's car w as smoking heavily in the lights.

Right Lane: Kevin Rivenbark Runs 3.890/190.41, Now #2; Best prior run: 3.919/188.84, Was #2

Nice run, but not quite good enough to move into the top spot.

Kevin Rivenbark's incremental times: 60ft-0.969 sec., 330ft-2.591.

Right Lane: Mike Janis Runs 3.939/192.91, Now #9; Best prior run: 3.961/191.00, Was #10

Janis made another strong run, but his 60-foot time was once again over one second.

Right Lane: Tim Savell Runs 3.929/191.11, Now #4; Best prior run: 3.926/192.08, Was #4

Savell finishes just about where he started in round one.

Right Lane: Travis Harvey Runs 3.928/189.59, Now #5; Best prior run: 3.937/188.85, Was #8

Harvey finished with his best run of the day and mobved up to fifth.

Travis Harvey's incremental times: 60ft-0.980 sec., 330ft-2.628.
