MADISON, Ill. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro X-Treme at the 2013 X-Treme Drag Racing League, X-Treme Gateway Showdown listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Left Lane: Duane Rister Runs 6.995/72.68, Now #2
Right Lane: Quain Stott Runs 3.707/203.86, Now #1

3:22 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 87 degrees, relative humidity 36 percent, barometer 29.60 inches, adjusted altitude 2,486 feet, track temperature 132 degrees.

Stott is a career best ET and speed on a clean and straight pass.

Rister's car is a little lazy off the line and gets out of the groove.

Quain Stott's incremental times: 60ft-0.944 sec., 330ft-2.496.

Left Lane: Todd Tutterow Runs 6.154/78.84, Now #3
Right Lane: Mike Recchia Runs 3.972/194.74, Now #2

Tutterow shakes and spins off the line. He pedals and then lifts.

Great pass for Recchia.

Mike Recchia's incremental times: 60ft-0.952 sec., 330ft-2.675.

Left Lane: Danny Lowry Runs 3.930/197.25, Now #3
Right Lane: Dan Millen Runs 3.758/202.52, Now #2

Lowery has a good leave and drives out of the groove. He stays with it and gets a full pass.

Millen is just 0.001 difference in sixty feet than Stott and powers into the latest number two position on a strong pass.

Danny Lowry's incremental times: 60ft-0.996 sec., 330ft-2.672.
Dan Millen's incremental times: 60ft-0.945 sec., 330ft-2.534.

Left Lane: Tim Tindle Runs 3.750/203.92, Now #2
Right Lane: Jon Stouffer Runs 4.859/104.59, Now #6

Stouffer has a good sixty foot time and then has the back end step out hard about 100 feet out. He does a quick pedal slap to no avail.

Tindle has the best sixty foot time so far and makes it look easy in the left lane and powers into the new #2 spot.

Tim Tindle's incremental times: 60ft-0.941 sec., 330ft-2.533.
Jon Stouffer's incremental times: 60ft-0.975 sec., 330ft-2.798.

Left Lane: Todd Martin Runs 3.741/205.35, Now #2
Right Lane: Aaron Wells Runs 5.537/90.84, Now #8

The ever popular number two spot gets a new occupant, as Martin runs well to the finish line with the best speed so far.

Wells' car isn't as quick off the line and he is off the throttle before the 330 lights.

Todd Martin's incremental times: 60ft-0.952 sec., 330ft-2.525.

Left Lane: Terry Leggett Runs 3.893/199.02, Now #5
Right Lane: Neal Wantye Runs 4.875/100.91, Now #9

Leggett's Mustang is slow off the line and still makes a good pass into the field.

Wantye leaves hard and then starts to drift towards the wall. There is a big wiggle from the back of the car and he lifts.

Terry Leggett's incremental times: 60ft-1.002 sec., 330ft-2.649.

Left Lane: Randell Reid Runs 4.770/113.74, Now #9
Right Lane: Frankie Taylor Runs 3.686/207.08, Now #1

Taylor powers off the line with a 0.924 sixty foot time and has the power to finally bump Stott out of the top spot.

Reid leaves hard and then lifts shortly after that.

Frankie Taylor's incremental times: 60ft-0.924 sec., 330ft-2.489.

Left Lane: Brandon Pesz Runs 3.685/206.13, Now #1

First the good news: Pesz runs 0.001 quicker than Taylor to take the top spot for the session. He has a stellar 0.919 sixty foot time and a better 330. Taylor keeps top speed though.

Now, the bad news: There are pieces and parts flying in the lights. Likely the blower...

Brandon Pesz's incremental times: 60ft-0.919 sec., 330ft-2.472.
