Corey Stuebner is congratulated by
his mother, Patty, while father,V Joe, looks on.
It was quite a weekend for Cory Stuebner.

The motorcyclist from Hamburg, Pa., took full advantage of Maple Grove Raceway's doubleheader weekend to win twice on the Sunoco Race Fuels Money Trail.

The wins were his second and third of the season, and gave him a little cushion in the early season points race.

He won the Ray's Yamaha Top Bike class on Saturday, defeating Danny Boyer (York, Pa.) in the final with pass of 9.001 at 142.76 on his 1989 Kawasaki. Stuebner defeated Wayne Pyfrom (Denver, Pa.) in the quarters with a quicker pass, then had a better RT against Andy Dempsey (Narvon, Pa.) in the semis. Boyer advanced with a red light by Gockley (Mohnton, Pa.) in the quarters and breakout by Joe Stuebner (Hamburg, Pa.) in the semis.

He beat Boyer again on Sunday. This time Boyer fouled at the start. To get to the final this time, Stuebner beat Keith Alesin (Mohnton, Pa.) in the quarters with a better run of 9.133 at 125.06, and then advanced through the semis when Gockley fouled.

Boyer used a better reaction time to get past Lisa Alesin (Sinking Spring, Pa.) in the quarters, and then advanced when Dempsey fouled in the semis.

Another repeat winner on Sunday was Paul Werner (Sinking Spring, Pa.) in P.C. Richard & Son Street. He took his second win of the season in his 1980 Malibu station wagon by defeating Scott Smith (Birdsboro, Pa.) with a great reaction time of .007 that helped him survive a double-breakout pass.

Werner had a bye in the semis and beat David Sciarretta (Honey Brook, Pa.) in the quarterfinals, getting the win light in another double-breakout. On the other hand, Smith had a bye in the quarters before going .004 over his dial-in in the semis against Jake Knarr (Boyertown, Pa.).

Yet another return visitor to PPC Lubricants Victory Lane was Brock Moshier (Lititz, Pa.) in Ciccarone Racing Products Pro. This was his second win in Pro - and third overall with a win in Super - as he beat Andy Anderson (York, Pa.), who was also looking for his second win of the season.

Moshier and his '71 Vega won the final with a .017 reaction time and a pass of 9.036 at 145.33 that was .016 over his dial-in.

To get to the final, Moshier had a single in the quarters and then got to the final when Todd Thoman (York, Pa.) got a red light. Anderson had a bye in the semis, and beat Robert Rippel (Fawn Grove, Pa.) in the quarters, taking advantage of a perfect light at the start.

In Gold Rush Trailers Super, Alan Robinson (Honey Brooke, Pa.) was victorious in his dragster and Brian Bensinger (West Reading, Pa.) had to settle for runner-up a second day in a row after a double-breakout run.

Robinson got the win light as he was only .013 under his dial-in and Bensinger was .038. Robinson had a bye in the semis and beat Mike Barber (Douglassville, Pa.) in the quarters by going .037 over his dial. Meanwhile, Bensinger earned a bye in the semis after Shayne Beck (Narvon, Pa.) fouled in the quarters.

Skyler Stump (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) won her first race in Junior Dragster by going .061 over his dial-in to beat Deja Brown (York, Pa.), who was .087 over. Stump faced competition in both the quarter and semifinals. She beat Eddie McBride (Glenolden, Pa.) in the quarters by going .004 over the dial, then beat Hollie Ray-Bausher (Shillington, Pa.) in the semis by going .010 over. Brown had a bye in the semis and beat Kelli Witkowski (Elverson, Pa.) in the quarters.

Bob Keffer (Maple Grove, Pa.) won the Trophy race.

On Saturday, Marty Flegal padded his lead in Pro with his second win of the season.

Flegal (Lititz, Pa.) defeated Nick Lewis (Northampton, Pa.) in the final. The two had the same reaction time, but Flegal and his S-10 pickup were able to go .007 over his dial-in, while Lewis was .023.

It was an easy road to the final for Flegal as Bob Montgomery (Reading, Pa.) fouled in the quarterfinals. He then had a bye through the semis. Meanwhile, Lewis took out Paul Werner (Sinking Spring, Pa.) in the quarters, surviving a double-breakout, and then defeated Tom Ressler (Wind Gap, Pa.) in the semis by going .008 over.

Over in Super, Mike Yarnall (Kennett Square, Pa.) made an appearance with his dragster and ended up taking home the big prize. He was .002 over his dial-in in the final, going 7.712 seconds at 166.33 mph to beat Bensinger.

Yarnall had a bye in the quarterfinals and then beat Bill Boyko (Northampton, Pa.) in the semis by a razor-thin margin. In a battle of dragsters, Yarnall had a .010 reaction time over Boyko's .011; he was .014 over his dial-in, while Boyko was .020. On the other side of the bracket, Bensinger used a great reaction time against John Seiverling (Bethel, Pa.) in the quarters, then advanced past Mark Sabo (Emmaus, Pa.), who fouled.

Mark Barnes Sr. (Coatesville, Pa.), who was runner-up at the second Money Trail, finally got over the hump in Street. He came out on top of a double-breakout final against Steve Fox (Douglassville, Pa.). Barnes drove his '72 Chevy to a pass of 12.954 at 99.47 that was .016 under the dial-in.

Barnes advanced to the final by running past Bob Ormsbee (Harrisburg, Pa.) in the quarters and Roy Hall (Emmaus, Pa.) in the semis. Both of his opponents broke out. Fox had a better RT against Joe Dedrick (Bally, Pa.) in the quarters, then had a bye in the semis.

Carrie Whitman (York, Pa.) made her '13 season debut at Maple Grove and got the win in Junior Dragsters. She was .005 over his dial-in against Brian O'Brien (Coatesville, Pa.) in the final. Whitman had a bye in the semis and defeated Heather Boyko (Northampton, Pa.) in the quarters. O'Brien got past Kelli Witkowski and Vincent Branca on his road to the final.

In Trophy, Bill Johnston (Hatboro, Pa.) won the final in a '13 Corvette with a pass of 13.093 at 96.09.
