By Larry Sullivan

CORDOVA, Ill. - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Pro Extreme at the 2013 ADRL Tour presented by Speedtech, Spring Drags IV presented by Curry's Transportation Services listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Duane Rister Runs 3.788/198.23, Now #8; Best prior run: 3.939/163.26, Was #11
Right Lane: Neal Wantye Runs 5.319/89.28, Now #13; Best prior run: 5.495/87.82, Was #13

4:08 p.m. Rister's team got their problems sorted out and he moved well up in the field. Wantye's car shook again

Left Lane: Von Smith Runs 3.719/202.45, Now #6; Best prior run: 3.731/204.11, Was #6
Right Lane: Bubba Stanton Runs 5.643/82.26, Now #4; Best prior run: 3.710/206.29, Was #4

Smith made his third three-seventies run in a row, nice and smooth. Stanton launched, shook, and lifted.

Left Lane: Alex Hossler Runs 3.805/201.07, Now #5; Best prior run: 3.717/203.65, Was #5
Right Lane: Joey Martin Runs 4.626/107.76, Now #7; Best prior run: 3.742/200.86, Was #7

Lots of shake in both lanes, Martin getting up on two wheels briefly. Hossler did a great job of backpedaling to finish his run, but Martin decided that getting up on "the bicycle" was a good reason to lift.

Left Lane: Mike Recchia Runs 3.776/203.00, Now #8; Best prior run: 3.879/166.15, Was #11
Right Lane: Eric Dillard Runs 3.798/211.63, Now #10; Best prior run: 3.830/208.46, Was #9

This time both cars stayed in the groove (more or less) and both drivers were in the seventies for the first time today.

Left Lane: John Stanley Runs 3.806/201.01, Now #11; Best prior run: 5.606/112.69, Was #14
Right Lane: Mick Snyder Runs 7.397/57.80, Now #2; Best prior run: 3.705/204.79, Was #2

Stanley made a great run, just missed the seventies. Snyder, who skipped the second session, shook and lifted.

Right Lane: Brandon Snider No Time, Now #1; Best prior run: 3.682/203.00, Was #1

Snider made his birnout, but the crew had problems making the wheelie bar adjustment and he finally shut it off.
