Fans are selected to judge the special Friday night Super Stock and Stock qualifying round at the Cavalcade of Stars

The North Central Division is proud home to some of the country's best Super Stock and Stock racers and racing! The two categories will be showcased at two upcoming events in the Division including the 7th Mickey Mart Cavalcade of Stars presented by Budweiser at Summit Motorsports Park, May 17-19 and the 27th annual NHRA SportsNATIONAL OPEN at Beech Bend Raceway Park, May 25 & 26.

Both Super Stock and Stock will be featured in a special qualifying round on Friday Fans are selected to judge the special Friday night Super Stock and Stock qualifying round at the Cavalcade of Stars. (May 17) of the largest NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event in the country at Summit Motorsports Park. A panel of fans will judge the round of qualifying with cash bonuses sponsored by Croghan Colonial Bank paid to the Best Wheelstand, Longest Wheelstand, and Fan Favorite in each eliminator. Croghan Colonial Bank bonuses will also be awarded to the Quickest Run, Fastest Speed, and Low Qualifying Run (ET vs. index) in each eliminator during the featured round which is scheduled at 8 p.m.

Kenny Shindler and Art Wilkinson celebrated their $5,000 NitroPlate SS-Stk combo win last year in Beech Bend's winner's circle.

The following weekend at Beech Bend Raceway Park NitroPlate will once again be sponsoring a $5,000 to win Super Stock / Stock combo race on Saturday evening as part of the 27th annual Memorial Day-weekend event. Veteran Kenny Shindler wheeled his Art's Used Parts Corvette to victory last year with a final round win over Ricky Decker for the $5,000 payday.

The SportsNATIONAL OPEN titles and Wallys will be on the line on Sunday.
