Mercier had problems early, started drifting to the right, then has to abort the run. Whiteley goes right down the groove with another good, consistent pass to take the win.

Finke goes up in smoke at the hit and quickly gives up on the run. Kanick pulls away quickly and goes on for the win.

In the next round it will be Reichert with lane choice over Meyer, McPhillips vs. Perry, Whiteley vs. Demke and Kanick vs. Thacker.
