POMONA, Calif. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, 53rd annual O'Reilly NHRA Winternationals presented by Super Start Batteries listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Allen Johnson Runs 14.539/59.34, Now #19; Best prior run: 13.855/63.06, Was #19

Weather conditions: air temperature 76 degrees, relative humidity 20 percent, barometer 29.03 inches, adjusted altitude 2,474 feet, track temperature 99 degrees.

He is completely sideways as soon as he lets the clutch out and pushes it right back in.

Left Lane: Deric Kramer Runs 6.611/209.01, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.635/207.94, Was #16
Right Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.896/208.26, Now #17; Best prior run: 12.335/95.75, Was #18

Coughlin was real loose right off the starting line, but he did a great job driving it and got to the finish line under power. Kramer with a real nice pass, his career quickest pass to get in the show. Deric Kramer's incremental times: 60ft-0.995 sec., 330ft-2.772, 660ft-4.254/165.88 mph, 1,000ft-5.533.

Left Lane: Matt Hartford Runs 6.627/209.46, Now #16; Best prior run: 6.632/209.79, Was #16
Right Lane: Mark Wolfe Runs 6.764/204.76, Now #17; Best prior run: 11.378/78.95, Was #18

Hartford made a quick move toward the wall and he reeled it back into the groove and improves on his time from yesterday, but not quick enough to get in the show. Wolfe made a quick move toward the centerline and too reeled it back into the groove and made a big improvement, but he will not get in the show.

Left Lane: Kurt Johnson Runs 6.607/209.20, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.621/209.65, Was #15
Right Lane: Warren Johnson Runs 6.616/208.52, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.619/208.36, Was #14

Kurt Johnson with a little move toward the centerline right at the launched but he gets in the show. Kurt Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.999 sec., 330ft-2.774, 660ft-4.254/166.37 mph, 1,000ft-5.531. Warren Johnson improves on yesterday's time, but just misses getting in the show. Warren Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.975 sec., 330ft-2.760, 660ft-4.247/165.50 mph, 1,000ft-5.534.

Left Lane: Rodger Brogdon Runs 6.590/209.33, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.619/209.10, Was #15
Right Lane: Shane Gray Runs 6.631/209.75, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.614/209.69, Was #12

Gray is straight on the launch but will not improve. Brogdon with a little wiggle right at the launch, but gets into the show with a real nice pass. Rodger Brogdon's incremental times: 60ft-0.988 sec., 330ft-2.761, 660ft-4.238/166.81 mph, 1,000ft-5.513.

Left Lane: Larry Morgan Runs 6.621/208.68, Now #15; Best prior run: 6.617/208.71, Was #15
Right Lane: Steve Kent Runs 6.606/208.30, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.611/208.84, Was #11

Morgan made a quick move toward the wall and he reeled it back into the groove, but slows from his time from yesterday. Kent with a really nice pass to move up the ladder right behind his teammate. Steve Kent's incremental times: 60ft-0.985 sec., 330ft-2.766, 660ft-4.247/166.17 mph, 1,000ft-5.526.

Left Lane: Chris McGaha No Time, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.612/209.04, Was #12
Right Lane: Greg Stanfield Runs 6.591/209.82, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.585/209.30, Was #7

McGaha is shut off after the burnout as he was leaking something. Stanfield with another good pass, but will not improve. Greg Stanfield's incremental times: 60ft-0.981 sec., 330ft-2.758, 660ft-4.239/166.64 mph, 1,000ft-5.515.

Left Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 6.600/211.03, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.580/210.64, Was #6
Right Lane: Erica Enders-Stevens Runs 6.539/212.23, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.555/211.66, Was #4

Anderson slows from his time from yesterday and will stay in the number six spot. Enders-Stevens with a great pass, she was straight down the groove to go to the number two spot. Erica Enders-Stevens' incremental times: 60ft-0.989 sec., 330ft-2.752, 660ft-4.215/168.56 mph, 1,000ft-5.477.

Left Lane: Vincent Nobile Runs 6.567/210.67, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.579/210.57, Was #5
Right Lane: Mike Edwards Runs 6.528/212.39, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.545/212.26, Was #4

Nobile with a real nice pass, but will stay in the number five spot. Vincent Nobile's incremental times: 60ft-0.985 sec., 330ft-2.754, 660ft-4.228/167.22 mph, 1,000ft-5.497. Edwards launched hard was straight down the groove to go to the top of the list. Mike Edwards' incremental times: 60ft-0.984 sec., 330ft-2.744, 660ft-4.207/168.53 mph, 1,000ft-5.467.

Left Lane: V. Gaines Runs 12.338/70.28, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.538/211.49, Was #2
Right Lane: Jason Line Runs 6.571/212.39, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.541/212.43, Was #4

Gaines made a quick move toward the centerline and pushed in the clutch. Line with tire shake right at the hit and he will not improve.
