JUPITER, Fla. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Funny Car at the NHRA Pro Winter Warmup listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Del Worsham Runs 4.067/311.34, Now #2
Right Lane: Chad Head Runs 4.061/313.15, Now #1

Worsham after taking a couple years off from the wheel of a Funny Car is back and make a really nice pass. Head behind the wheel of his father's car makes a great pass. A great side-by-side drag race to start the night off. Del Worsham's incremental times: 60ft-0.914 sec., 330ft-2.325, 660ft-3.284/267.06 mph.
Chad Head's incremental times: 60ft-0.891 sec., 330ft-2.311, 660ft-3.280/266.58 mph.

Left Lane: Bob Tasca III Runs 4.073/315.42, Now #3
Right Lane: Alexis DeJoria Runs 4.081/308.21, Now #4

Tasca with a good, clean pass and DeJoria was right there with him.

Left Lane: John Force Runs 7.895/87.41, Now #6
Right Lane: Matt Hagan Runs 4.060/312.21, Now #1

Force loses traction right at the hit and Hagan goes to the top of the list with a great pass. Matt Hagan's incremental times: 60ft-0.887 sec., 330ft-2.305, 660ft-3.277/265.59 mph.

Left Lane: Johnny Gray Runs 4.066/311.92, Now #4
Right Lane: Robert Hight Runs 4.048/315.56, Now #1

This was a great drag race with Hight going to the top of the qualifying list. Robert Hight's incremental times: 60ft-0.903 sec., 330ft-2.314, 660ft-3.274/269.78 mph.

Left Lane: Courtney Force Runs 7.505/76.25, Now #9
Right Lane: Cruz Pedregon Runs 4.106/297.61, Now #8

Force loses traction right off the starting line and clicks it off. Pedregon clicks it off early, but still has a good pass.

Left Lane: Ron Capps Runs 4.075/316.52, Now #7
Right Lane: Jack Beckman Runs 4.160/307.16, Now #10

Number one and two in the World last round out round one of qualifying...a couple good clean passes.
