New for the 2013 season SRCA Dragstrip in Great Bend, KS will kick off the Division 5 season hosting an event April 27-28, the weekend before the Lucas Oil Series Divisional. Bandimere will host its traditional Open in conjuction with its Night of Fire event May 18. Top End Dragways in Glyndon, MN just outside of Fargo will host its 2nd annual Open event May 25-26. The series will also make its annual stops at Rolling Thunder Dragstrip on July 27, Cedar Falls Raceway August 10-11, and Oahe Speedway September 21-22 before finishing the season in Kearney, Nebraska at the Cornhusker Fall Classic at Kearney Raceway Park October 12-13.

Classes competing at West Central Open Series events include Stock/Super Stock Combo, Super Comp, Super Gas, and Super Street in addition to local ET Bracket classes. Also in conjunction with select Open events Watertown Ford-Chrysler Midwest Class Racers are stepping up support adding significant purse money to Saturday Shootout races for Stock/Super Stock and as well as bonus money for Sundays NHRA Eliminations.
