LAS VEGAS - Results of final, round 4 eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series, 12th annual Big O Tires NHRA Nationals:

Capps is 15 - 10 against Beckman in prior events and Beckman is 2 - 1 against Capps in prior final rounds.

Beckman and Capps are 1-2 in the championship race, Beckman with a 24 point lead.

Beckman leaves the line, goes up in smoke about 100 feet out, pedals once and gives up on the run. Capps goes right down the groove with the second quickest pass of the day to take the win.

Capps has now won 38 races, five this year.

Capps trails Beckman by just four points going into the final race.
