5:53 p.m. Brown (and Davis, up next) must win to keep their championship hopes alive.

Brown got an easy win here, Sakuvich's car losing traction, then swapping ends as it slid across the centerline and back, parking sideways in the left lane.

Butcher is Marco Abruzzi's teammate, with a chance to take one of the contenders out of the contest.

With a 0.007 holeshot, Butcher gets the job done, with a small holeshot and a breakout by Davis.

Two great lights, but Raftery took too much stripe and Musi posted a winning 0.016 package. She will face Brown in the semifinals.

Gulitti had the better light, but the car shook and moved to the right, forcing him to backpedal. Abruzzi's win almost clinches the championship - Brown would have to win the event and set both ends of the record should Abruzzi lose to his teammate Butcher in the semifinals.
