Pro Nitrous Qualifying Notes, Session #3

ENNIS, Texas - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Pro Nitrous at the American Drag Racing League, ADRL World Finals VIII presented by CarSafe listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Jim Laurita Runs 3.795/196.73, Now #1; Best prior run: 3.829/197.05, Was #2
Right Lane: Monroe Guest Runs 4.008/186.72, Now #12; Best prior run: 4.020/186.28, Was #12

Exactly 16 cars have qualifying times, so there's some question about whether that's a "bump spot." John Hall is on the bottom of the field at 5.017.

Laurota has been making nothing but good runs today and this was the best of the bunch, putting him back into the top spot on the list. Guest also improved, stayed 12th.

Jim Laurita's incremental times: 60ft-0.974 sec., 330ft-2.552.

Left Lane: Pat Stoken Runs 3.769/198.44, Now #1; Best prior run: 3.839/195.53, Was #4
Right Lane: Shannon Jenkins Runs 3.861/194.30, Now #5; Best prior run: 3.884/194.18, Was #5

Hmmm, that didn't last long. Stoken eclipsed Laurita's effort and he's now atop the list. Jenkins also made a good run to improve slightly.

Pat Stoken's incremental times: 60ft-0.940 sec., 330ft-2.522.
Shannon Jenkins' incremental times: 60ft-0.957 sec., 330ft-2.586.

Left Lane: Robert Mathis Runs 3.859/194.72, Now #5; Best prior run: 3.910/193.13, Was #6
Right Lane: John Hall Runs 3.874/194.63, Now #7; Best prior run: 5.017/101.64, Was #16

Looks like the cars like the evening conditions, Hall jumping from the bottom of the list to the middle.

Robert Mathis' incremental times: 60ft-0.979 sec., 330ft-2.587.
John Hall's incremental times: 60ft-0.989 sec., 330ft-2.604.

Left Lane: Rickie Jones Runs 3.865/192.58, Now #4; Best prior run: 3.830/194.94, Was #4
Right Lane: Keith Haney Runs 4.067/176.70, Now #14; Best prior run: 4.457/147.31, Was #16

Good run by Jones, no improvement. Haney made an improved run, but he's still on the wrong side of four seconds.

Left Lane: Blake Housley Runs 5.028/100.16, Now #8; Best prior run: 3.912/190.92, Was #8
Right Lane: Doug Riesterer Runs 4.412/122.38, Now #15; Best prior run: 4.079/177.37, Was #15

Both drivers were fkirting with the wall on their side of the track and both lifted.

Right Lane: Ron Muenks Runs 3.936/184.50, Now #10; Best prior run: 3.946/184.27, Was #10

Run looked good, picked up a hundredth.

Right Lane: Bob Rahaim Runs 3.804/198.41, Now #3; Best prior run: 3.826/198.44, Was #3

For those that missed it, Rahaim clinched the championship when he went through tech for this event, earning 250 bonus points for attendiung all event this year and 10 points for this event.

He made a nice run, close to a career-best, stayed third on the list. Bob Rahaim's incremental times: 60ft-0.970 sec., 330ft-2.558.

Right Lane: Johnny Pilcher Runs 3.908/190.59, Now #8; Best prior run: 3.958/188.65, Was #11

Nice run by Pilcher to close out the session, moving hiim up to the bottom of the top half of the field.
