He increased his edge in a close race, Jeg slightly quicker off the line and slightly quicker down the track. Jeg Coughlin's incremental margins: 60ft(0.024), 330 ft(0.031), 660ft(0.034), 1,000ft(0.034). MOV: 0.0312 seconds (approximately 9 feet).

Pawuk and Stanfield have raced each other just once before, Stanfield getting the win light in that one. Pawuk evened the series here when Stanfield launched into tire shake and slowed.

WJ has raced Adams five times during his career, winning four times. Whisnant was qualified higher than Johnson, but Johnson had the quickest run during the final qualifying session after shaking out the bugs in a brand-new car. This time it was the left lane that produced instant tire shake, Johnson with an easy win on a non-dominating run.

Whisnant came in with a 2-1 record against Lastor, but Lastor stepped way up from his qualifying efforts to beat Whisnant to the stripe. Taylor Lastor's incremental margins: 60ft(0.000), 330 ft(0.012), 660ft(0.024), 1,000ft(0.033). MOV: 0.0438 seconds (approximately 13 feet). Lastor will have lane choice against WJ in round two.

This it the first time KJ and Carr have ever met in eliminations. Carr left first, but encountered the shake demons and lifted. KJ advanced easily and will have lane choice against Yates in round two after running top speed of the round so far.

Anderson held a 4-1 career edge over Gaines prior to this race. Gaines kept him honest, but Anderson just had too much for him and will have lane choice against Coughlin in round two, by 0.003 seconds!

Edwards has been deadly against Allen during their careers, holding a lopsided 10-3 edge in prior races. Both drivers missed the cut at E-town last weekend. Allen took a shot at the tree and Edwards went to round two with lane choice against Pawuk in round two.
