Both drivers were ready for the green and it was a good race, but Hintz had too much for Kirk today. Scott Hintz's incremental margins: 60ft(0.029), 330 ft(0.043). MOV: 0.0486 seconds (approximately 12 feet).

Pluchino slapped a holeshot on Goforth and made it stick. Goforth was closing in all the way, ran out of race track. John Pluchino's incremental margins: 60ft(0.022), 330 ft(0.013). MOV: 0.0077 seconds (approximately 24 inches).

They left together, then both cars started using up a lot of lane, Schorr hanging on and getting to the stripe first.

The light went green and Otwell's car did not move. Stevens made a good run, will have to wait to see if he has lane choice in round two.

Deflorian went red. Gahm ran it all the way through and will have lane choice against Stevens in round two.

Morton had the holeshot, but could not hold Aronson off for long. Aronson made up the deficit before they reached the tree, then held on for the win. Cale Aronson's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(0.023), 330 ft(0.014). MOV: 0.0106 seconds (approximately 3 feet). He will have lane choice against Schorr in the quarterfinals.

Penland did all he could do, with a great light and a good run, but he didn't have the ponies to hold Goforth off past half track.
