Dixon with a 18 to 13 lead in head to head match ups between these two.

Dixon with the starting line advantage and never looked back with a great looking pass in the warmest conditions they have faced all weekend. Cory Mac started to haze the tires around half track to end his weekend.

Smith with a great light, but then dropped an cylinder right off the starting line and then started blistering the Goodyears around 330-foot mark. In the other lane Schumacher started to haze the tires around half track and then dropped some cylinders before it pitched the blower belt. He was just coasting from there on and Smith jumped back on the throttle, but it was too little too late. Schumacher will give up lane choice to Dixon.
