Top Dragster Shootout Round 1 Eliminations

BELLE ROSE, La. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Vicari/UnderCover Top Dragster Shootout at the NHRA, Sixth annual JEG'S.com Cajun SPORTSnationals:

4:21 p.m. Manners gets the bye run because only seven cars decided to play today. If he'd had an opponent, this would be a foul and he would lose. Instead, he only loses lane choice by running a five. Mike Manners' incremental times: 60ft-0.965 sec., 330ft-2.570, 660ft-3.883/183.72 mph, 1,000ft-5.016.

Rumis did his job, but Vicari had the mnuscle to run him down in the first 100 feet, then pull away for the win. As a reward, Vicari runs Manners in the semifinals.

Dennis had a very good light, shook and drove through it. Aydelott shook violently and coasted to a stop at half track.

Williamson sawed the tree down, avoided the shakes, and won going away. He will have lane chocie against Dennis in the semifinals.
