Sampey leaves way too soon and hands the win to McBride.

Johnson's streak comes to and end. he leaves way too soon and hands the win to Krawiec. Krawiec gets to half-track and backs off the throttle.

Ellis leaves the line first and starts to pull away. He extends his lead at the 330 foot mark, then Smith starts to make up ground. Ellis is still out in front at the 1000 foot mark, but can't hold off the hard charging Smith.

Smith will have lane choice over Krawiec in the third round.

Arana gets the lead off the line, then Rivas drives around him before they reach the sixty foot mark. Rivas continues to pull away and makes the quickest pass of the session on the way to the win.

Rivas will have lane choice over McBride in the final round.
