CONCORD, N.C. - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, Inaugural NHRA Carolinas Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Bob Benza Runs 6.877/202.45, Now #13; No Prior Run
Right Lane: John Gaydosh Jr Runs 6.937/199.17, Now #14; No Prior Run

Weather conditions: air temperature 90 degrees, relative humidity 55 percent, barometer 29.39 inches, adjusted altitude 3,624 feet, track temperature 109 degrees.

Johnson launched hard and got it to stay hooked up all the way down the quarter mile to go to the number five spot. connolly improves by just a tick, but will stay No. 8. They run the same E.T. and that is not good for Gray as he will not get into the show. Stanfield will not improve and stay No. 15.

Deceglie broke right off the starting line. Yates will not improve and will stay No. 14.

WJ matches his time from yesterday with a great looking pass and the fastest pass of the weekend. Warren Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-1.000 sec., 330ft-2.817, 660ft-4.318/164.95mph, 1,000ft-5.609 No help for Humphreys.

Johnson will stay No. 1, but didn't improve here...Kurt Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.994 sec., 330ft-2.800, 660ft-4.305/164.09mph, 1,000ft-5.603 Coughlin was real loose as soon as he let the clutch out and did a great job reeling it in.
