TOPEKA, Kan. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Pro Stock at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 20th annual O'Reilly NHRA Summer Nationals presented by Castrol GTX:

Weather conditions: air temperature 82 degrees, relative humidity 59 percent, barometer 28.81 inches, adjusted altitude 3,640 feet, track temperature 118 degrees.

Johnson is 15 - 4 against Gaines in prior events, and Johnson has won all six time they have raced in round two. Gaines turned on the red light to give Johnson the win. Johnson got real loose right off the starting line and clicked it off, but still gets the win.

Coughlin is 14 - 5 against Edwards in prior events, they have race twice in round two and they each have won once. Coughlin with a big starting line advantage and then just drives away for the win.

Connolly is 12 - 3 against Morgan in prior events, and Connolly holds a 7 - 2 advantage in round two meetings. Morgan with the starting line advantage and then win when Connolly's car makes very quick move toward the centerline and clicks it off. Morgan will have lane choice over Coughlin.

This is the first time Jones and Krisher have faced each other in eliminations. At the last minute they switched lanes. Krisher with the starting line advantage and then runs low E.T. of the round for the win. he will have lane choice over Kurt Johnson.
