Hight needs to win and run better than 4.705 to have a backup for the ET record. Then he needs to win the final and set the record. Uhh...not going to happen. Hight gets the win but he's well off the pace for the record. That hands the Funny Car Championship to Tony Pedregon officially...Bob Frey says so!

We have an all Force final as Burkart takes the Champ's racer to the final round and face the other Force car with Hight aboard. Neither driver had a great light but Burkart certainly had the longer fuse. Phil Burkart's MOV: 0.0423 seconds (approximately 19 feet).
