POMONA, Calif. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 43nd annual Automobile Club of
Southern California NHRA Finals:
Bike#-Rider-(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed----Bike#-Rider-(Opp'nt)-RT----ET---Speed
5 Matt Smith 499 Peggy Llewellyn
E2 ****WINNER**** 0.017 6.969 188.73 0.070 7.005 189.28

2:04 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 76 degrees, relative humidity 43 percent, barometer 28.86 inches, adjusted
altitude 2,480 feet, track temperature 94 degrees.
Smith keeps his title hopes flickering as he takes a huge lead at the hit and then pulled away for a win.

3 Angelle Sampey 6 Karen Stoffer
E2 ****WINNER**** 0.021 6.979 190.48 0.046 7.078 187.78

Some big numbers come up on the board as Angelle Sampey is first off the line and opens a pretty good lead over Stoffer at the
stripe.
Bike#-Rider-(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed----Bike#-Rider-(Opp'nt)-RT----ET---Speed
88 Eddie Krawiec 4 Chip Ellis
E2 0.203 7.053 187.08 ****WINNER**** 0.037 6.979 190.30
Prior rounds:
E1 (M Guidera ) 0.024 6.990 188.62 (J Pippin ) 0.110 6.996 189.50
Qualified: #6 6.972 189.90 #3 6.965 191.46
Krawiec will have the entire off season to look at the reaction time on his timeslip. Ellis goes on and will face Sampey in the
semi finals. Oddly he loses lane choice on mph and NOT ET. They ran identical ETs but Sampey ran .18 mph FASTER than Ellis.
Bike#-Rider-(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed----Bike#-Rider-(Opp'nt)-RT----ET---Speed
2 Antron Brown 1 Andrew Hines
E2 ****WINNER**** -0.005 7.078 184.95 -0.341 7.380 191.19
Prior rounds:
E1 (C Treble ) -0.003 7.116 185.77 (S Gann ) 0.032 6.984 191.46
Qualified: #8 7.006 188.15 #1 6.956 192.22
Hines rolled right on through the starting line beams as he staged and the red light was on right away! That tightens the points
battle as Hines is not a lock yet. Smith will have choice over Brown in the other semi.
