POMONA, Calif. - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Stock at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 39th annual Automobile Club of Southern California NHRA Finals:

Wilson had a stellar light, but WJ power takes the win.

Once again a six seventy, the left lane, and a good light take the win. No upsets so far.

Marnell's car creeps through the beams and gets the red eye. Corvo ran well to take the win.

Less than .02 between these two in qualifying. Yates' gets a small advantage off the line, but Allen is ahead before the 60 foot light and never looks back. He have lane choice over Corvo.

Connolly gets out of the groove and is all over the track trying to get the Grumpy's car back under control. Haas was right there and takes advantage to get the win. He'll give up lane choice to Edwards.

Anderson has had a stellar year with eleven wins and three runner-ups. He is tied with Darryl Alderman (1991) for the most season wins. He has only lost to Allan Johnson in three of the eleven times that they have met.

It's over at the light, as Johnson goes .007 red. Anderson makes a safe pass to take the win and will have lane choice over WJ by.002 seconds.

Krisher nails the tree and gives gives Coughlin a run for his money. Jeggy pulls ahead on the top end to take the close win. He give up lane choice to KJ by .001 second! 12:40 PM
