MILLINGTON, Tenn. - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 20th annual O'Reilly Mid-South Nationals presented by Pennzoil listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Kenny Koretsky Runs 6.726/206.07, Now #21; Best prior run: 6.790/203.61, Was #23
Right Lane: Todd Hoerner Runs 13.968/59.80, Now #24; Best prior run: 6.895/202.15, Was #24

Weather conditions: air temperature 83 degrees, relative humidity 22 percent, barometer 29.92 inches, adjusted altitude 1,768 feet, track temperature 112 degrees.

Hoerner with a lot tire shake right off the starting line. Koretsky with his best pass of the weekend, but will not get into the show.

Left Lane: Ben Watson Runs 6.699/204.88, Now #19; Best prior run: 6.769/202.33, Was #23
Right Lane: Justin Humphreys Runs 15.148/53.65, Now #23; Best prior run: 6.762/203.92, Was #22

Humphreys with shake and clicked it off. Watson with his best pass, but will not get into the show.

Left Lane: Bill Glidden Runs 6.705/204.98, Now #20; Best prior run: 6.704/205.54, Was #20
Right Lane: Tom Hammonds Runs 13.429/77.46, Now #21; Best prior run: 6.719/205.29, Was #21

Hammonds with a lot of tire shake, and he shuts off. Glidden with no help here and he will not make the show.

Left Lane: Ron Krisher Runs 6.646/207.43, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.663/207.62, Was #14
Right Lane: Warren Johnson Runs 6.654/207.30, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.692/207.91, Was #18

This was a pretty good drag race and the both run their quickest passes of the weekend. WJ gets into the show and bumps out Northrop. Ron Krisher's incremental times: 60ft-0.986 sec., 330ft-2.786, 660ft-4.277/165.60mph, 1,000ft-5.562
Warren Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.982 sec., 330ft-2.780, 660ft-4.280/164.39mph, 1,000ft-5.568

Left Lane: Craig Hankinson Runs 6.646/207.46, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.657/207.27, Was #15
Right Lane: Steve Schmidt Runs 6.694/205.91, Now #18; Best prior run: 6.691/206.04, Was #18

no help here for Schmidt and he will not get into the show. Hankinson with his best pass of the weekend and he moves up the ladder a couple spots. Craig Hankinson's incremental times: 60ft-0.984 sec., 330ft-2.781, 660ft-4.275/165.15mph, 1,000ft-5.562

Left Lane: Jim Yates Runs 6.626/206.99, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.646/207.56, Was #12
Right Lane: Dave Northrop Runs 6.678/207.30, Now #17; Best prior run: 6.680/206.70, Was #17

Northrop with his best pass of the weekend, but he will not get into the show. Yates with his best pass of the weekend and he gets into the top half of the show. Jim Yates' incremental times: 60ft-0.987 sec., 330ft-2.772, 660ft-4.259/165.74mph, 1,000ft-5.541

Left Lane: V. Gaines Runs 6.640/207.69, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.643/207.98, Was #12
Right Lane: Greg Stanfield Runs 6.655/207.50, Now #16; Best prior run: 6.667/207.69, Was #16

Gaines with his best pass of the weekend, but will stay in the number 12 spot. V. Gaines' incremental times: 60ft-0.988 sec., 330ft-2.784, 660ft-4.274/165.40mph, 1,000ft-5.557 Stanfield with his best pass of the weekend, but stays on the bubble. Greg Stanfield's incremental times: 60ft-0.995 sec., 330ft-2.789, 660ft-4.283/164.99mph, 1,000ft-5.570

Left Lane: Larry Morgan Runs 7.368/146.35, Now #11; Best prior run: 6.637/207.66, Was #10
Right Lane: Kurt Johnson Runs 6.625/208.04, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.639/207.40, Was #11

Morgan with problems and shuts it off early...Johnson with his best pass of the weekend to move into the top half of the show. Kurt Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.980 sec., 330ft-2.771, 660ft-4.261/165.70mph, 1,000ft-5.543

Left Lane: Mike Edwards Runs 6.646/207.69, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.632/207.88, Was #10
Right Lane: Richie Stevens Runs 6.629/207.62, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.605/207.91, Was #5

No help here for either one of these two, but still a couple good passes.

Left Lane: Allen Johnson Runs 6.607/207.85, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.624/208.07, Was #7
Right Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 6.607/208.91, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.598/209.17, Was #3

These two run identical E.T.s and Johnson moves up the ladder one spot. Anderson with another nice pass. Allen Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.976 sec., 330ft-2.755, 660ft-4.242/165.92mph, 1,000ft-5.525
Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-0.987 sec., 330ft-2.771, 660ft-4.252/166.54mph, 1,000ft-5.530

Left Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.626/207.88, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.619/207.98, Was #7
Right Lane: Jason Line Runs 6.631/208.65, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.596/208.68, Was #2

Line shook right off the starting line...Coughlin with another nice pass, but stays in the number seven spot.

Left Lane: Dave Connolly Runs 6.602/208.07, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.601/208.23, Was #4
Right Lane: Max Naylor Runs 6.630/206.99, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.594/207.37, Was #1

Connolly with a real nice pass, the quickest pass of the session. Dave Connolly's incremental times: 60ft-0.980 sec., 330ft-2.761, 660ft-4.244/166.19mph, 1,000ft-5.522 Naylor with another good pass and for the second straight race, Naylor is the number one qualifier.
