CHANDLER, Ariz. - Notes from round 3 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 23rd annual Checker Schuck's Kragen NHRA Nationals presented by Castrol listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Erica Enders Runs 6.648/207.02, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.697/206.20, Was #12
Right Lane: Justin Humphreys Runs 6.787/205.88, Now #22; Best prior run: 6.839/204.76, Was #23

Weather conditions: air temperature 70 degrees, relative humidity 17 percent, barometer 29.10 inches, adjusted altitude 1,815 feet, track temperature 84 degrees.

Enders with a great 60-foot time and vaults into the number two spot. Erica Enders' incremental times: 60ft-0.971 sec., 330ft-2.767, 660ft-4.265/164.61mph, 1,000ft-5.555


Left Lane: Mike Edwards Runs 6.670/206.83, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.707/205.85, Was #15
Right Lane: Allen Johnson Runs 13.312/63.96, Now #15; Best prior run: 6.705/207.18, Was #14

Johnson shook right off the starting line and clicked it off. Edwards with a nice pass to jump into the top half of the show. Mike Edwards' incremental times: 60ft-0.974 sec., 330ft-2.782, 660ft-4.284/164.01mph, 1,000ft-5.576

Left Lane: Gordie Rivera Runs 6.808/202.94, Now #24; Best prior run: 6.884/201.55, Was #24
Right Lane: Dwayne Rice Runs 6.784/205.07, Now #22; Best prior run: 6.794/201.22, Was #23

Rivera gets out of the groove and close to the wall, but stays with it. Rice with his best pass of the weekend.

Left Lane: Tony Rizzo Runs 6.719/206.04, Now #20; Best prior run: 6.742/204.60, Was #20
Right Lane: Ben Watson Runs 14.480/58.19, Now #21; Best prior run: 6.744/205.66, Was #21

Watson shook and shut off. Rizzo with his best pass of the weekend.

Left Lane: Ron Krisher Runs 6.718/206.35, Now #19; Best prior run: 6.715/206.35, Was #19
Right Lane: Kurt Johnson Runs 6.677/207.27, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.713/206.67, Was #18

Krisher was out of the groove and close to the centerline, but stayed with it. Johnson with a nice pass to get into the show and that will bump out Morgan. Allen Johnson is on the bump spot at 6.705.

Left Lane: Greg Stanfield Runs 6.658/207.82, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.710/206.99, Was #18
Right Lane: Larry Morgan Runs 6.708/206.32, Now #18; Best prior run: 6.709/205.91, Was #17

Stanfield with a great looking pass to get into the show in the3 top half of the field. Greg Stanfield's incremental times: 60ft-0.982 sec., 330ft-2.784, 660ft-4.281/164.77mph, 1,000ft-5.569 Morgan improves, but not enough to get into the show.

Left Lane: V. Gaines Runs 6.688/206.54, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.700/206.92, Was #16
Right Lane: Max Naylor Runs 6.732/206.86, Now #15; Best prior run: 6.690/206.13, Was #14

Gaines does what he wanted to do, get off the bubble.

Left Lane: Warren Johnson Runs 6.652/208.14, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.695/207.21, Was #16
Right Lane: Roger Brogdon Runs 6.690/208.07, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.684/207.02, Was #12

WJ with a great pass and moves off the bubble to the number three spot. This is a career speed mark for the Professor. Warren Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-0.979 sec., 330ft-2.787, 660ft-4.278/164.83mph, 1,000ft-5.564

Brogdon with a little tire shake, but stays with it.

Left Lane: Jim Yates Runs 6.673/206.76, Now #11; Best prior run: 6.686/207.02, Was #14
Right Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 6.650/209.49, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.667/208.39, Was #7

Anderson moves into the number three spot with a good clean pass. He runs a career speed mark here and the fastest pass of the event, so far. Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-0.988 sec., 330ft-2.793, 660ft-4.286/165.25mph, 1,000ft-5.568

Left Lane: Dave Connolly Runs 6.660/207.78, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.672/207.59, Was #9
Right Lane: Tom Martino Runs 6.685/207.53, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.680/206.83, Was #13

Connolly gets into the top half of the field.

Left Lane: Kenny Koretsky Runs 8.879/105.64, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.659/207.59, Was #7
Right Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.686/207.43, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.672/207.50, Was #10

Koretsky with problems right off the starting line, and clicks it off. No help here for Coughlin.

Left Lane: Richie Stevens Runs 6.640/207.18, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.658/207.53, Was #6
Right Lane: Jason Line Runs 6.635/209.33, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.642/208.84, Was #1

This was a great drag race and they are number one and two. Richie Stevens' incremental times: 60ft-0.975 sec., 330ft-2.767, 660ft-4.262/164.75mph, 1,000ft-5.550
Jason Line's incremental times: 60ft-0.991 sec., 330ft-2.785, 660ft-4.274/165.50mph, 1,000ft-5.554
