LAS VEGAS - Notes from final, round 3 qualifying in Pro Modified at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, Sixth annual ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Kirk Kuhns Runs 6.389/229.27, Now #15; Best prior run: 7.710/124.95, Was #18

Kuhns was quick enough to get into the show, and he bumped Knowles

Left Lane: Jay Payne Runs 6.135/221.60, Now #3; Best prior run: 7.213/194.91, Was #18
Right Lane: Dan Rowe Runs 6.583/225.60, Now #18; Best prior run: 10.432/81.42, Was #19

Payne with a great looking pass to get into the top half of the show. Jay Payne's incremental times: 60ft-1.017 sec., 330ft-2.676, 660ft-4.008/185.26mph, 1,000ft-5.153 Rowe with a lot of tire shake and attempts to drive through it.

Left Lane: Mike Knowles Runs 6.745/215.41, Now #19; Best prior run: 6.713/214.86, Was #19
Right Lane: Rick Stivers Runs 6.550/226.16, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.381/227.88, Was #14

Left Lane: Thomas Patterson Runs 6.100/233.03, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.420/219.44, Was #17
Right Lane: Harold Laird Runs 6.313/225.63, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.373/207.43, Was #13

Patterson with a great pass to get in the show and bump out Kuhns. Laird with his best pass,

Left Lane: Chip King Runs 6.348/223.58, Now #15; Best prior run: 6.383/219.79, Was #16
Right Lane: Scott Ray Runs 6.298/226.85, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.367/223.06, Was #14

King just gets into the show. Ray moves up the ladder a couple spots.

Left Lane: Steve Engel Runs 6.261/230.57, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.299/209.52, Was #13
Right Lane: John Scialpi Runs 6.270/225.48, Now #11; Best prior run: 6.287/218.09, Was #11

Left Lane: Mike Bell Runs 6.196/229.20, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.283/213.10, Was #12

Bell with a nice pass to move into the top half of the show. Mike Bell's incremental times: 60ft-1.022 sec., 330ft-2.699, 660ft-4.052/182.35mph, 1,000ft-5.215

Left Lane: Zach Barklage Runs 6.190/229.16, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.220/228.46, Was #9
Right Lane: Joey Martin Runs 6.120/233.60, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.175/232.35, Was #7

Martin with a real nice pass to move to the number four spot. Barklage with a little wiggle but still improves into the top half of the show.

Left Lane: Shelly Payne Runs 6.143/232.47, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.169/232.23, Was #7
Right Lane: Cody Barklage Runs 6.137/232.63, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.167/232.71, Was #6

This was good looking drag race with both moving into the top half of the show. Shelly Payne's incremental times: 60ft-1.039 sec., 330ft-2.700, 660ft-4.032/185.74mph, 1,000ft-5.176
Cody Barklage's incremental times: 60ft-1.025 sec., 330ft-2.687, 660ft-4.022/184.75mph, 1,000ft-5.169

Left Lane: Troy Critchley Runs 6.102/237.42, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.091/236.22, Was #2
Right Lane: Joshua Hernandez Runs 6.124/236.38, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.084/236.01, Was #1

Another good looking drag race. Critchley with the second quickest pass of the session. Hernandez will stay on the pole.
