MOHNTON, Pa. - Results of round 2 eliminations in Funny Car at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 22nd
annual Toyo Tires NHRA Nationals:

Force won on a holeshot for the second round in a row. Before today, he had only one holeshot
win all season.
Force got off the starting line first but Johnson made up the difference and more by 60 feet.
But then Force took the lead back and pulled away for the win.
John Force's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.001), 330 ft(0.009),
660ft(0.021), 1,000ft(0.024). MOV: 0.0112 seconds (approximately 5 feet).

Scelzi's car broke the blower drive in his first-round win over Gary Densham. This time,
Scelzi launched and smoked the tires, so he clicked it off. Burkart had a nice trip down the
quarter mile to take the win. He'll face Force next time around and Force will have lane
choice.

7 Tony Pedregon 4 Eric Medlen

Medlen and Pedregon came off the line together. Pedregon had the early lead but Medlen got
back out in front by the time they reached the 330 foot mark. After that, it was Medlen all the
way.

Hight got the win but blew the car up as it crossed the finish line. Worsham got out of the
gate first but Hight got by him at 60 feet and pulled ahead th rest of the way down the track.
As Hight crossed the finish line, the engine let go in a flash of flame. Hight will meet
teammate Medlen in the next round and will have lane choice. At the end of two rounds, all three
Force cars are still in the field.
