MORRISON, Colo. - Results of round 3 eliminations in Top Fuel at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, 27th annual Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals:

Weather conditions: air temperature 98 degrees, relative humidity 20 percent, barometer 24.83 inches,adjusted altitude 8,222 feet, track temperature 142 degrees.

Todd with the starting line advantage and Dixon with just a whisp of tire smoke early. Todd with a little tire haze and he pedals it at least one time. Then after Todd took the win light there is no chute, it appeared that it was stuck in the wheelie bar. He had all four wheels off the ground bouncing the car as he was trying to bring the car to a stop. He did a great job trying to stop it, but ended up in the sand. todd is going to his first final round in only his ninth start.

Kalitta with a slight starting line advantage, but Schumacher had the difference made up right off the starting line and drives away for the win. Schumacher with low E.T. of the day. He will have lane choice in the final.
