By Larry Sullivan

EDMONTON, Alb. - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Knoll Gas - Torco Pro Stock at the 2006 eMax Drag Racing Series, CARS RV & Marine & Motorsports Rocky Mountain Nationals presented by TORCO Racing Fuels listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Richard Penland Runs 6.623/212.36, Now #16; Best prior run: 6.615/212.03, Was #15
Right Lane: Cary Goforth Runs 6.561/213.33, Now #14; Best prior run: 8.704/111.42, Was #16

7:23 p.m. There will be no bumping, just 16 cars made the long trip up here.

Goforth made his best run of the weekend, by a bunch, to move off the 16th spot. Penland failed to improve and inherited the last spot on the ladder.

Left Lane: Steve Spiess Runs 6.530/213.23, Now #11; Best prior run: 6.524/213.03, Was #11
Right Lane: Larry O'Brien Runs 6.575/211.73, Now #15; Best prior run: 6.585/211.73, Was #15

Both drivers were under a second for the first 60 feet, neither moved on the ladder.

Left Lane: Jerry Haas Runs 6.540/213.81, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.518/214.31, Was #10

Dan Sweeney should have been in the other lane, was a no-show.

Haas made a good run, but failed to improve.

Left Lane: Rick Jones Runs 6.518/214.42, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.518/214.72, Was #9
Right Lane: Elijah Morton Runs 6.562/213.06, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.539/213.13, Was #12

Jones matched his best prior run, Morton lost three hundredths from his best, nothing changed.

Left Lane: Rob Mansfield Runs 6.538/213.54, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.502/214.52, Was #7
Right Lane: John Nobile Runs 6.559/212.96, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.508/213.91, Was #8

Nobile's car was a bit loose in the middle of the run. Neither driver improved.

Right Lane: Jeff Dobbins Runs 6.534/214.28, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.499/214.18, Was #6

So far, Mansfield was the only one in the forties in this session and these two did nothing to change that. Both made good runs, but a few ticks off their best run.

Left Lane: Pete Berner Runs 6.518/213.98, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.479/214.04, Was #3
Right Lane: Tony Gillig Runs 6.493/214.66, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.484/213.23, Was #4

Gillig joined mansfield in the forties, no improvement for either driver.

Left Lane: Frank Gugliotta Runs 6.497/215.48, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.456/215.82, Was #1
Right Lane: Robert Patrick Runs 6.486/214.52, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.456/214.76, Was #2

Last pair. Both were under a second to 60 feet, both were in the forties, neither improved and Pro Stock qualifying is complete with just one change in the field.
