Drag Illustrated Magazine presents Pro Outlaw Series at Cordova

CORDOVA, Ill. -- The Pro Outlaw Series that debuted in 2005 at Eddyville Raceway Park will come to Cordova Dragway Park, Cordova, Illinois in 2006 under the direction of former Eddyville Track Manager Wes Buck. The Pro Outlaw Series is made up of five classes and is raced on a 1/8 mile format. "We wanted to continue on what we were building with this heads up series and couldn't think of a better track than Cordova" said Wes Buck. "There are many cars under construction and many more in the planning stages" he continued. Drag Illustrated (a new drag racing magazine dedicated to heads up racing) will debut in January under the co-direction of Buck. (

The Pro Outlaw Series will have five classes; Pro Outlaw, Pro Street, Outlaw 10.5", Limited Street & Drag Radial. At this time, there are two events scheduled with tentative plans for two more events in 2006. "We are being a little cautious with this program, but fully expect to have all four events in 2006" said Cordova Track Operator Scott Gardner.

A run what you brung class. An Outlaw Pro-Modified Eliminator open to nitrous, turbocharged,
supercharged or naturally aspirated cars and trucks. No Nitromethane allowed.

OUTLAW PRO STREET (8 car field) 
Full tube chassis cars and trucks with mufflers, headlights and tail lights. Any
engine/transmission combination allowed.
Winner       $1,750
Runner-up    $800
Semi-Finals  $250
Qualify      $150
Entry Fee    $150 includes driver and 4 crew people 
OUTLAW 10.5" (8 car field) 
Open to outlaw 10.5W equipped cars with firewall in stock location and stock front frame rails. Any
rear suspension allowed, any engine/transmission combination allowed. A run what you brung and hope
you brought enough class!

LIMITED STREET (8 car field) 
No wheelie Bars. No 4-link suspensions, etc. Must have all-factory body panels, rear windows that
work, lights, license plates, mufflers, etc.

Stock suspension, outlaw street cars limited to drag radial tires only.
