Left Lane: Gene Wilson Runs 6.963/198.09, Now #3; No Prior Run Right Lane: Jose Maldonado Runs 7.049/195.39, Now #27; No Prior Run Both drivers had problems in the first round and will look to secure a position in the field in what could be the best session of the weekend. That concept works for Wilson as he puts the Neon into the top half. Maldonado will have to use the Saturday sessions. Not a big deal but there is a mention of that dreaded word 'rain' for Saturday. Left Lane: Larry Peternel Runs 7.091/194.02, Now #33; Best prior run: 7.761/136.15, Was #33 Right Lane: Ben Watson Runs 7.002/196.13, Now #15; Best prior run: 11.219/79.35, Was #34 Watson moves way up in the field but I don't believe a seven flat will even hold through this session. Peternel picks up six tenths but still has a lot of work ahead of him. Left Lane: Jamey Ober Runs 10.343/87.52, Now #34; Best prior run: 7.308/186.90, Was #34 Right Lane: Arturo Delgado Runs 7.011/196.30, Now #18; Best prior run: 7.060/195.22, Was #30 Ober was way out of shape before half track and he decides on safety instead of bravery. No help for Delgado. Left Lane: George Marnell Runs 7.001/196.39, Now #15; Best prior run: 7.067/195.28, Was #32 Right Lane: JR Carr Runs 7.043/195.36, Now #28; Best prior run: 7.047/195.96, Was #28 Marnell bumps in and puts Greg Anderson out of the field. Carr will need Saturday. Left Lane: Tom Martino Runs 7.002/196.99, Now #17; Best prior run: 7.061/195.70, Was #32 Right Lane: Larry Nance Runs 6.981/197.74, Now #8; Best prior run: 7.036/197.39, Was #27 Martino just misses the field but Nance moves to the top half. Nice pass. Left Lane: Larry Morgan Runs 7.028/197.10, Now #28; Best prior run: 7.055/197.05, Was #32 Right Lane: Mike Trumble Jr Runs 6.996/197.48, Now #16; Best prior run: 7.027/197.22, Was #27 Morgan picks up slightly but can't crack the increasingly tough field. Trumble puts Marnell out and takes his place on the bump. Left Lane: Brad Jeter Runs 7.171/192.19, Now #31; Best prior run: 7.044/196.67, Was #31 Right Lane: Mark Carter Runs 6.998/196.73, Now #17; Best prior run: 7.025/196.76, Was #27 Carter just misses the field with his 6.998. Jeter was slowing as he reached the finish. Left Lane: John Nobile Runs 7.021/196.99, Now #27; Best prior run: 7.034/197.10, Was #29 Right Lane: Kenny Koretsky Runs 7.055/195.00, Now #28; Best prior run: 7.021/196.42, Was #27 Koretsky slows from the first session and won't make the field today. Nobile picks up slightly but has the same problem. Left Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 6.981/198.00, Now #9; Best prior run: 7.008/197.74, Was #21 Right Lane: Jim Yates Runs 6.973/196.59, Now #5; Best prior run: 7.017/196.85, Was #26 Yates goes from outside to the top half of the field. Anderson just missed the top half but should still be happy. Left Lane: Mark Pawuk Runs 6.963/197.80, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.995/197.19, Was #17 Right Lane: Bruce Allen Runs 6.962/196.93, Now #3; Best prior run: 7.016/197.39, Was #26 Another pair goes from outside to the top half. That put Troy and Scott out of the field. Left Lane: Scott Geoffrion Runs 6.957/197.39, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.989/197.10, Was #17 Right Lane: Tom Lee Runs 6.986/196.82, Now #16; Best prior run: 7.012/196.96, Was #26 Geoffrion was bumped by the last pair of cars down the track but shows here that Bob Panella has found some more horsepower in the Ford. He's back into the top half. Lee gets in the field but he's on the bump. Not been a long lifespan from there fro the last few minutes. Left Lane: Greg Stanfield Runs 6.939/197.83, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.989/197.45, Was #18 Right Lane: Darrell Alderman Runs 6.989/196.44, Now #19; Best prior run: 7.010/196.67, Was #25 Greg Stanfield brings the house down with another outside in charge. This time he goes all the way to the top spot. Alderman falls off and doesn't make the Friday field. Left Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.968/197.54, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.982/197.39, Was #16 Right Lane: Troy Coughlin Runs 6.975/197.59, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.995/197.68, Was #20 Troy was well outside the field before this run but he manages to slot into #12. Jeg was on the bump before his run but now is #8. Larry Nance with his 6.981 is now in danger of being bumped. Left Lane: Mark Whisnant Runs 6.982/197.80, Now #18; Best prior run: 6.982/197.51, Was #17 Right Lane: Allen Johnson Runs 6.955/198.17, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.987/197.59, Was #19 High 6.90's won't do it anymore. Whisnant runs a high six but doesn't make the field. Allen Johnson is back in the program. Left Lane: Ron Krisher Runs 6.958/198.70, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.980/198.29, Was #15 Right Lane: V. Gaines Runs 6.958/198.52, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.980/198.29, Was #14 These two met in the first round and ran almost identical times. Here in the second round they do it again. Nice runs. Left Lane: Tom Hammonds Runs 6.951/197.86, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.975/197.83, Was #14 Right Lane: Kurt Johnson Runs 6.946/198.41, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.949/198.93, Was #3 It's Hammonds with the big move in the field. Johnson moves up one spot to #2. Left Lane: Mike Edwards Runs 6.968/197.77, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.972/198.12, Was #13 Right Lane: Warren Johnson Runs 6.957/198.32, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.948/198.79, Was #3 Warren slows from his first session time, while Edwards improves very slightly. Doesn't take much to move around in a Pro Stock field. That's the last pair of Pro Stockers of the day.
