LAS VEGAS - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Modified at the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series, Second annual ACDelco Las Vegas NHRA Nationals:

Qua-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed-Rd-Qua-Driver(Opp'nt)-RT-----ET---Speed
   4 Mike Ashley         6.342 221.52  Q    5 Johnny Rocca        6.376 220.91
 *****WINNER***** 0.467  6.356 221.60  E1                  0.420  8.652 111.03

The first round of the Pro Mod's get their chance to perform. Rocca gets the starting line advantage but his Merc gets loose and he's forced to lift. Ashley has to pedal once but still gets a big round win.

The only time Stott was behind was at the hit, and even then it wasn't by much. Stott pulls away for the win and a trip to the semis.

Patterson takes out Neyer and gets lane choice over Stott in the semi finals.

   1 Shannon Jenkins     6.261 222.99  Q    8 Dennis Radford      6.396 227.73

Jenkins is pushed back by hand and Radford waits for him. The car moves over under it's own power so the race will happen. Radford gets loose about 200 feet out and moves over close to the wall. Jenkins takes the win but loses lane choice to Ashley in the other semi.
