Best Engineered - Capps Van &Car Rental Competition Eliminator 2002 Chevy Cavalier entry. Driver: Keith Mawhee, Carrollton, Texas.

Budweiser Shootout At Pomona Award ($4,000 to the No. 1 qualifier in Top Fuel) - Doug Herbert, Cherryville N.C., Snap-on Tools Dragster, 4.537 seconds, 301.13 mph.

Budweiser Shootout At Indianapolis Award ($4,000 to the No. 1 qualifier in Funny Car) - Bruce Sarver, Bakersfield, Calif., White Cap Toyota Celica, 4.773 seconds, 317.12 mph.

NHRA King Demon Crown Award ($3,000 to the No. 1 qualifier in Pro Stock) - Kurt Johnson, Buford, Ga. ACDelco Chevy Cavalier, 6.921 seconds, 199.20 mph.

K&N Filters Pro Bike Klash ($1,000 to the No. 1 qualifier in Pro Stock Motorcycle) - Angelle Savoie, New Orleans, Mohegan Sun Racing Suzuki, 7.146 seconds, 186.79 mph.

Motel 6 'Who Got the Light' ($1,000 to the individual Top Fuel, Funny Car, Pro Stock driver who earns a round win in eliminations by the narrowest margin.) - Warren Johnson defeated Tom Hammonds by 0.0068 of-a-second margin of victory in the second round of Pro Stock.
