Pro Stock Motorcycle Qualifying Notes, Session #2

ROCKINGHAM, N.C. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, Inaugural NHRA Nationals at The Rock listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Marcus Hylton Runs 7.104/185.03, Now #14; Best prior run: 7.227/167.35, Was #14

Weather conditions: air temperature 73 degrees, relative humidity 40 percent, barometer 29.97 inches, adjusted altitude 1,687 feet, track temperature 113 degrees.

Hylton with clean pass.

Left Lane: Malcolm Phillips Jr. Runs 7.200/147.25, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.986/168.04, Was #13
Right Lane: Lance Bonham Runs 7.256/182.63, Now #15; Best prior run: 7.644/180.07, Was #15

Phillips with problems and clicked it off.

Bonham with his quickest pass, but will stay in the number 15 spot.

Left Lane: Geno Scali Runs 6.861/197.72, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.898/195.48, Was #12
Right Lane: Marc Ingwersen Runs 6.787/198.41, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.845/198.68, Was #11

Scali is straight down the groove.

Ingwersen with his quickest pass to move up the ladder one spot.

Left Lane: Joey Gladstone Runs 6.732/201.34, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.749/199.29, Was #6
Right Lane: Chase Van Sant Runs 6.759/201.34, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.774/199.56, Was #8

Gladstone is riding for Evaristo this weekend, he is straight down the groove with his quickest and fastest pass of the season.

Van Sant with a good pass to move up the ladder one spot.

Left Lane: Richard Gadson Runs 6.778/201.79, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.683/202.41, Was #3
Right Lane: Steve Johnson Runs 6.737/199.65, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.762/196.76, Was #8

Gadson with another good pass, but will not improve.

JOhnson is straight down the groove to the number seven spot.

Left Lane: Ryan Oehler Runs 6.695/201.79, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.681/202.25, Was #2
Right Lane: Gaige Herrera Runs 6.784/174.15, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.714/202.79, Was #5

Oehler kept it hooked up and makes the quickest pass of the session

Herrera starts drifting out of the groove and over by the centerline before he clicked it off early.

Left Lane: Matt Smith Runs 6.715/203.07, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.681/204.17, Was #1
Right Lane: Angie Smith Runs 6.674/201.61, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.696/200.71, Was #4

Matt Smith with another good pass, but will not improve.

angie Smith kept it hooked up and goes to the number one spot. She makes her career quickest pass.
