LAS VEGAS - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, Pacific Division, event at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Rich McPhillips Jr. Runs 5.315/272.56, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 76 degrees, relative humidity 20 percent, barometer 29.94 inches, adjusted altitude 3,645 feet.

McPhillips kept it hooked up and was straight down the groove with a good pass.

Left Lane: Randy Eakins Runs 5.549/245.85, Now #3
Right Lane: Braiden Chesleigh Runs 5.472/221.74, Now #2

Eakins has a hole out early, but stays with it.

Chesleigh is dropping cylinders early, but straight down the groove.

Left Lane: Mitch Myers Runs 5.503/253.37, Now #4
Right Lane: Shaunda Blinzler Runs 5.307/273.00, Now #1

Myers kept it hooked up and was straight down the groove with a clean pass.

Blinzler launched hard and was straight down the groove with a good pass to go to the number one spot. Shaunda Blinzler's incremental times: 60ft-0.929 sec., 330ft-2.375, 660ft-3.513/217.60 mph, 1,000ft-4.485.

Left Lane: Taylor Januik Runs 5.363/272.67, Now #4
Right Lane: Madison Payne Runs 5.309/273.00, Now #2

Januik shook and clicked it off.

Payne launched hard and had it hitting on all eight to go to the number two spot. Madison Payne's incremental times: 60ft-0.968 sec., 330ft-2.455, 660ft-3.553/226.66 mph, 1,000ft-4.495.

Bradford with a great light, but shook right at the hit and clicked it off.

Right Lane: Shawn Cowie Runs 5.221/276.46, Now #1

Fricke started to lose traction and clicked it off.

Cowie launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Shawn Cowie's incremental times: 60ft-0.917 sec., 330ft-2.342, 660ft-3.456/222.36 mph, 1,000ft-4.409.
