LAS VEGAS - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Pro Modified at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 25th annual Dodge NHRA Nevada Nationals powered by Direct Connection listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Doug Winters Runs 5.842/243.81, Now #19; Best prior run: 5.844/243.81, Was #19

Weather conditions: air temperature 80 degrees, relative humidity 21 percent, barometer 29.98 inches, adjusted altitude 3,859 feet.

winters is straight down the groove with his quickest pass of the weekend, but will not get in the show.

Left Lane: Stan Shelton Runs 5.864/234.45, Now #16; Best prior run: 5.811/246.57, Was #16
Right Lane: Nick Januik Runs 6.018/205.82, Now #18; Best prior run: 5.832/245.40, Was #18

Shelton with a good pass early, but had some some smoke right in the lights.

Januik with a goo pass early, but used up and engine on the top end. He will not get in the show. There is oil on track.

Right Lane: Mason Wright Runs 5.888/201.04, Now #17; Best prior run: 5.828/245.00, Was #17

King launched hard and kept it hooked up to make his quickest pass of the weekend and he moves up the ladder one spot.

Wright with a clean pass, but will not get in the show.

Left Lane: Alex Laughlin Runs 5.791/246.80, Now #14; Best prior run: 5.779/246.66, Was #14
Right Lane: Sidnei Frigo Runs 6.513/156.03, Now #15; Best prior run: 5.793/247.79, Was #15

Laughlin with another good pass, but will not improve.

Frigo started to lose traction and clicked it off.

Barnett is straight down the groove, but will not improve.

Janis kept it hooked up and makes his quickest pass of the weekend, but will stay in the number 12 spot.

Stavrinos with problems after the burnout and is shut off.

Samorukov shook and clicked it off.

Right Lane: Billy Banaka Runs 5.745/247.75, Now #1; Best prior run: 5.716/250.46, Was #1

Castellana launched hard and kept it hooked up to make the quickest pass of the session. He will start Sunday from the number two spot.

Banaka kept it hooked up with a good looking pass. He will hold on to the number one spot. This it the first time he has qualified number one.
