Top Fuel Qualifying Notes, Final Session

LAS VEGAS - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Top Fuel at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 25th annual Dodge NHRA Nevada Nationals powered by Direct Connection listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Right Lane: Tony Schumacher Runs 4.923/146.94, Now #11; Best prior run: 3.900/305.63, Was #11

Weather conditions: air temperature 82 degrees, relative humidity 18 percent, barometer 29.99 inches, adjusted altitude 4,007 feet.

Schumacher is up in smoke by half track and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Dan Mercier Runs 4.881/154.07, Now #10; Best prior run: 3.791/328.54, Was #9
Right Lane: Josh Hart Runs 3.779/333.16, Now #9; Best prior run: 3.811/329.26, Was #10

Mercier starts to haze the tires around 400 feet and clicked it off

Hart kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight to make his quickest pass of the weekend. He moves up the ladder one spot.

Left Lane: Clay Millican Runs 3.758/328.62, Now #8; Best prior run: 3.771/331.28, Was #8
Right Lane: Tony Stewart Runs 4.730/156.48, Now #5; Best prior run: 3.741/330.72, Was #5

Millican kept it hooked up and makes his quickest pass of the weekend. He will stay in the number eight spot. Clay Millican's incremental times: 60ft-0.851 sec., 330ft-2.148, 660ft-3.028/289.32 mph.

Stewart started to haze the tires just before half track and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Antron Brown Runs 4.070/226.09, Now #7; Best prior run: 3.750/333.16, Was #7
Right Lane: Shawn Reed Runs 3.779/318.92, Now #4; Best prior run: 3.737/329.10, Was #4

Brown with good looking pass until on the top end when he started to spin the tires

Reed with a good clean pass, but will not improve.

Left Lane: Justin Ashley Runs 3.773/333.33, Now #6; Best prior run: 3.744/333.41, Was #6
Right Lane: Shawn Langdon Runs 4.961/142.70, Now #3; Best prior run: 3.715/336.57, Was #3

Ashley launched hard and kept it hooked up to make another good looking pass. He makes the second quickest pass of the session. Justin Ashley's incremental times: 60ft-0.854 sec., 330ft-2.170, 660ft-3.045/289.82 mph.

Langdon is up in smoke by half track and clicks it off.

Left Lane: Brittany Force Runs 3.876/270.75, Now #1; Best prior run: 3.697/338.85, Was #1
Right Lane: Doug Kalitta Runs 4.521/172.30, Now #2; Best prior run: 3.711/337.24, Was #2

Force with a good pass early, but started to haze the tires on the top end and clicked it off early. Force will qualify number one for the 58th time in her career and sixth time this season.

Kalitta started to lose traction and clicked it off.
