Pro Stock Qualifying Notes, Session #2

LAS VEGAS - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 25th annual Dodge NHRA Nevada Nationals powered by Direct Connection listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Mason McGaha Runs 6.665/207.24, Now #16; Best prior run: 6.713/206.07, Was #18

Weather conditions: air temperature 82 degrees, relative humidity 14 percent, barometer 29.90 inches, adjusted altitude 4,052 feet.

The quickest pass of this session will win the "Ted Wiens Trick or Traction Award" and will earn $2,000.

McGaha is straight down the groove with his quickest pass today. He gets in the show.

McGaha kept it hooked up and gets in the show and bumps out his son.

Cuadra was straight down the groove to get in the show.

Vang with his quickest pass of the race, but will not get in the show.

Latino launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number nine spot. Eric Latino's incremental times: 60ft-0.978 sec., 330ft-2.760, 660ft-4.251/164.53 mph, 1,000ft-5.538.

Cuadra was straight down the groove to get in the show. He goes to the number 13 spot.

Grose with his quickest pass today, but will not get in the show.

Right Lane: Kenny Delco Runs 6.664/204.91, Now #19; Best prior run: 6.668/205.38, Was #20

Hartford gets off the bump spot up to the number 10 spot.

Coughlin Jr. with severe tire shake right at the hit and clicked it off.

Cuadra Jr. gets off the bump spot and straight down the groove to go to the number 10 spot.

Connolly is straight down the groove with his quickest pass to move up the ladder one spot.

This is good looking side-by-side drag race.

Stanfield kept it hooked up to move into the top half of the show. Greg Stanfield's incremental times: 60ft-0.974 sec., 330ft-2.756, 660ft-4.247/164.27 mph, 1,000ft-5.533.

Anderson launched hard and was straight down the groove to go to the number one spot. Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-0.980 sec., 330ft-2.753, 660ft-4.236/165.64 mph, 1,000ft-5.517.

Reed with a good looking pass, straight down the groove to the number one spot. Cory Reed's incremental times: 60ft-0.966 sec., 330ft-2.740, 660ft-4.227/164.53 mph, 1,000ft-5.512.

Coughlin with another good pass, but will not improve.
