Pro Stock Qualifying Notes, Session #1

LAS VEGAS - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 25th annual Dodge NHRA Nevada Nationals powered by Direct Connection listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Right Lane: Dave Connolly Runs 6.642/206.45, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 79 degrees, relative humidity 17 percent, barometer 29.95 inches, adjusted altitude 3,790 feet.

The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway names the return road Ken Black Way.

Connolly is driving a Ken Black tribute car this weekend. This is his second race this season.

Connolly launched hard and kept it hooked up with a good clean pass.

Left Lane: Joey Grose Runs 6.782/201.88, Now #3
Right Lane: Chris Vang Runs 6.664/203.68, Now #2

A couple clean passes.

Grose is straight down the groove.

Vang with a good clean pass to start the weekend.

Cuadra with severe tire shake and clicked it off.

Latino launched hard and kept it hooked up and goes to the number one spot. Matt Latino's incremental times: 60ft-0.983 sec., 330ft-2.766, 660ft-4.251/165.29 mph, 1,000ft-5.532.

cuadra is straight down the groove with a good pass.
