Pro Stock Motorcycle Qualifying Notes, Session #1

LAS VEGAS - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 25th annual Dodge NHRA Nevada Nationals powered by Direct Connection listing lane, rider name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Kahea Woods Runs 7.235/187.11, Now #2
Right Lane: Karen Stoffer Runs 7.016/189.02, Now #1

12:32 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 79 degrees, relative humidity 17 percent, barometer 29.95 inches, adjusted altitude 3,790 feet.

Stoffer makes a decent pass to start the session. Woods had a slow 60 foot time.

Kahea Woods' incremental times: 60ft-1.151 sec., 330ft-3.057, 660ft-4.651/153.68 mph, 1,000ft-6.040.

Karen Stoffer's incremental times: 60ft-1.086 sec., 330ft-2.913, 660ft-4.472/156.99 mph, 1,000ft-5.837.

Left Lane: Clayton Howey Runs 6.894/195.53, Now #1
Right Lane: Freddie Camarena Runs 7.049/191.89, Now #3

Howey goes down the groove with a good pass to take the early pole. Camarena makes a decent pass to get in the third spot for now but is a little off of the pace.

Clayton Howey's incremental times: 60ft-1.065 sec., 330ft-2.865, 660ft-4.403/158.61 mph, 1,000ft-5.746.

Freddie Camarena's incremental times: 60ft-1.135 sec., 330ft-2.963, 660ft-4.519/157.12 mph, 1,000ft-5.881.

Left Lane: Kelly Clontz Runs 6.975/194.97, Now #3
Right Lane: Ryan Oehler Runs 6.922/193.57, Now #2

oehler makes a decent run to get in the second spot for now. Clontz gets in just behind in the third spot for now.

Kelly Clontz's incremental times: 60ft-1.080 sec., 330ft-2.925, 660ft-4.476/158.00 mph, 1,000ft-5.823.

Ryan Oehler's incremental times: 60ft-1.107 sec., 330ft-2.909, 660ft-4.434/160.67 mph, 1,000ft-5.771.

Left Lane: Chris Bostick Runs 6.975/190.81, Now #4
Right Lane: Marc Ingwersen Runs 28.899/166.09, Now #8

Ingwersen's bike stumbles right off of the line and he is out of power early. Bostick makes a decent pass to get in the fourth spot for now.

Left Lane: Chase Van Sant Runs 6.942/195.76, Now #4
Right Lane: Jianna Evaristo Runs 6.930/196.90, Now #3

A good side-by-side, both down the groove with decent runs. Evaristo gets in the third spot for now, Van Sant in fourth.

Left Lane: Angie Smith Runs 6.824/198.82, Now #1
Right Lane: John Hall Runs 6.850/198.50, Now #2

Smith goes down the groove with an impressive pass to take the top spot for now. Hall is right behind and gets in the second spot for now.

Angie Smith's incremental times: 60ft-1.078 sec., 330ft-2.872, 660ft-4.381/162.27 mph, 1,000ft-5.697.

John Hall's incremental times: 60ft-1.080 sec., 330ft-2.882, 660ft-4.401/161.83 mph, 1,000ft-5.722.

Left Lane: Brayden Davis Runs 8.138/119.36, Now #13
Right Lane: Matt Smith Runs 6.909/199.02, Now #4

Smith makes a good pass to get in the fourth spot for now. Davis has problems and is off of the throttle early.

Left Lane: Gaige Herrera Runs 6.823/199.76, Now #1
Right Lane: Richard Gadson Runs 6.855/197.42, Now #4

herrera goes down the groove with the quickest pass of the round and takes the top spot to end this session. Gadson makes a decent pass and gets in the fourth spot.

Gaige Herrera's incremental times: 60ft-1.073 sec., 330ft-2.864, 660ft-4.378/161.63 mph, 1,000ft-5.697.

Richard Gadson's incremental times: 60ft-1.054 sec., 330ft-2.858, 660ft-4.388/160.18 mph, 1,000ft-5.719.
