ENNIS, Texas - Results of round 1 eliminations in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 40th annual Texas NHRA FallNationals:

This is the first time Van Sant and Howey have faced each other in eliminations.
Howey gets a perfect light and goes down the groove with his quickest pass of his career to take the win.

Clayton Howey's incremental times: 60ft-1.061 sec., 330ft-2.857, 660ft-4.381/160.52 mph, 1,000ft-5.721.

Johnson can't get his bike stopped and ends up going into the sand and rolling over.
