Pro Stock Motorcycle Qualifying Notes, Session #1

ENNIS, Texas - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 40th annual Texas NHRA FallNationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Left Lane: Clayton Howey Runs 7.033/194.22, Now #1
Right Lane: Charles Poskey Runs 7.081/189.40, Now #2

4:14 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 85 degrees, relative humidity 40 percent, barometer 30.08 inches, adjusted altitude 2,638 feet.

Howey makes a decent pass to start the session. Poskey makes a decent pass, a career best for him.

Left Lane: Lance Bonham Runs 7.262/181.55, Now #4
Right Lane: Ryan Oehler Runs 6.913/194.32, Now #1

Bonham's bike stumbled a little off of the line. Oehler goes down the groove with a good run to take the top spot for now.

Ryan Oehler's incremental times: 60ft-1.102 sec., 330ft-2.893, 660ft-4.416/160.50 mph, 1,000ft-5.760.

Left Lane: Kelly Clontz Runs 6.871/198.94, Now #2
Right Lane: Marc Ingwersen Runs 6.869/194.38, Now #1

A good side-by-side, both down the grove with good runs.

Clontz gets in the second spot for now. Ingwersen goes to the top spot for now.

Kelly Clontz's incremental times: 60ft-1.106 sec., 330ft-2.903, 660ft-4.417/161.81 mph, 1,000ft-5.741.

Marc Ingwersen's incremental times: 60ft-1.079 sec., 330ft-2.865, 660ft-4.384/161.08 mph, 1,000ft-5.719.

Right Lane: Steve Johnson Runs 6.831/195.07, Now #1

Johnson makes a decent pass and goes to the top spot for now.

Steve Johnson's incremental times: 60ft-1.058 sec., 330ft-2.840, 660ft-4.353/161.85 mph, 1,000ft-5.685.

Left Lane: Chase Van Sant Runs 7.028/166.25, Now #6
Right Lane: Jianna Evaristo Runs 6.881/195.36, Now #4

Van Sant was on a decent pass but had problems late in the run. Evaristo makes a full pass and gets in the fourth spot for now.

Left Lane: Brayden Davis Runs 6.788/200.46, Now #1
Right Lane: Angie Smith Runs 6.868/197.36, Now #3

Davis makes a good pass and gets in the top spot for now. Smith makes a decent run and gets in the third spot for now.

Left Lane: John Hall Runs 6.815/200.38, Now #3
Right Lane: Matt Smith Runs 6.777/199.07, Now #1

Smith makes an impressive pass for the conditions and takes the top spot for now. hall makes a good run and gets in the third spot for now.

Left Lane: Gaige Herrera Runs 6.767/200.35, Now #2
Right Lane: Richard Gadson Runs 6.761/200.59, Now #1

Herrera makes a good run to get in the second spot for now. Gadson goes down the groove with a good pass and takes the top spot to end this session.
