POMONA, Calif. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 59th annual In-N-Out NHRA Finals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:
Left Lane: Aaron Pine Runs 17.388/72.97, Now #2
Right Lane: Lance Bonham Runs 7.989/124.81, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 58 degrees, relative humidity 46 percent, barometer 29.93 inches, adjusted altitude 1,409 feet, track temperature 94 degrees.

Pine is making his second career appearance on the NHRA tour. His only other race was this event in 2010. The bike doesn't move when the light turns green, finally it goes.

Bonham spun and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Clayton Howey Runs 7.044/192.06, Now #2
Right Lane: Ryan Oehler Runs 6.902/196.67, Now #1

Howey makes his career fastest pass.

Oehler is straight down the groove.

Left Lane: Geno Scali Runs 6.895/193.79, Now #1
Right Lane: Marc Ingwersen Runs 7.105/185.82, Now #4

Scali is straight down the groove with a good pass.

Ingwersen was off the throttle early.

Left Lane: Chris Bostick Runs 6.869/192.38, Now #2
Right Lane: Steve Johnson Runs 6.771/196.44, Now #1

This was a good side-by-side drag race race.

Bostick with a good clean pass.

Johnson launched hard and is straight down the groove.

Left Lane: Jianna Evaristo Runs 6.871/200.80, Now #4
Right Lane: John Hall Runs 6.792/200.53, Now #2

Evaristo is straight down the groove with fastest pass of the weekend and goes to the number four spot. Jianna Evaristo's incremental times: 60ft-1.117 sec., 330ft-2.927, 660ft-4.436/162.49 mph, 1,000ft-5.751.

Hall with a good looking pass.

Left Lane: Angie Smith Runs 6.772/200.26, Now #2
Right Lane: Chase Van Sant Runs 6.785/199.11, Now #3

Smith kept it hooked up to go to the number two spot. Angie Smith's incremental times: 60ft-1.079 sec., 330ft-2.859, 660ft-4.353/164.43 mph, 1,000ft-5.656.

Van Sant is right there with her to the number three spot. Chase Van Sant's incremental times: 60ft-1.058 sec., 330ft-2.841, 660ft-4.348/162.96 mph, 1,000ft-5.661.

Left Lane: Hector Arana Jr Runs 6.796/199.14, Now #6
Right Lane: Richard Gadson Runs 6.786/199.17, Now #4

Arana Jr. with a good clean pass to start the weekend.

Gadson is straight down the groove to the number four spot.

Left Lane: Matt Smith Runs 6.721/202.64, Now #1
Right Lane: Gaige Herrera Runs 11.132/75.91, Now #15

Smith launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Matt Smith's incremental times: 60ft-1.062 sec., 330ft-2.832, 660ft-4.321/164.71 mph, 1,000ft-5.616.

Herrera bogged right at the hit.
