POMONA, Calif. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Top Alcohol Funny Car at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 59th annual In-N-Out NHRA Finals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:
Left Lane: Christine Foster Runs 5.803/260.31, Now #7; Best prior run: 12.952/72.54, Was #11

Weather conditions: air temperature 57 degrees, relative humidity 68 percent, barometer 29.88 inches, adjusted altitude 1,473 feet.

Foster starts to shake and pedals it back into tire shake and pedaled one time to get it to hook up.

Left Lane: Will Martin No Time, Now #6; Best prior run: 5.701/263.00, Was #6
Right Lane: Hunter Jones Runs 6.021/255.10, Now #8; Best prior run: 8.431/126.05, Was #11

Martin broke after the burnout.

Jones started to lose traction and pedaled it.

Left Lane: Ulf Leanders Runs 5.529/260.36, Now #6; Best prior run: 5.544/259.96, Was #5
Right Lane: Ray Martin Runs 5.467/264.49, Now #3; Best prior run: 7.734/133.95, Was #11

Leanders kept it hooked up and is straight down the groove.

Martin launched hard and kept it hooked up to make his quickest and fastest pass this season to go to the number three spot. Ray Martin's incremental times: 60ft-0.919 sec., 330ft-2.442, 660ft-3.618/210.83 mph, 1,000ft-4.618.

Left Lane: Shane Westerfield Runs 5.496/264.91, Now #5; Best prior run: 5.500/266.21, Was #5
Right Lane: Bret Williamson Runs 6.178/249.95, Now #10; Best prior run: 7.476/155.45, Was #11

Westerfield is straight down the groove with a good looking pass. Shane Westerfield's incremental times: 60ft-0.951 sec., 330ft-2.475, 660ft-3.648/211.99 mph, 1,000ft-4.648.

Williamson moves up the ladder one spot.

Left Lane: Brian Hough Runs 12.190/74.80, Now #2; Best prior run: 5.466/268.44, Was #2
Right Lane: Madison Gordon Runs 5.558/264.65, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.863/99.11, Was #11

Hough lost traction early and clicked it off.

Gordon kept it hooked up all the way down the track. She goes to the number seven spot. Madison Gordon's incremental times: 60ft-0.979 sec., 330ft-2.522, 660ft-3.703/210.24 mph, 1,000ft-4.708.

Left Lane: Sean Bellemeur Runs 5.421/266.69, Now #1; Best prior run: 5.455/266.06, Was #1
Right Lane: Annie Whiteley Runs 5.497/267.00, Now #4; Best prior run: 5.473/266.58, Was #4

Bellemeur with a huge long burnout. He launched hard and kept it hooked up to make a great pass. Sean Bellemeur's incremental times: 60ft-0.929 sec., 330ft-2.425, 660ft-3.588/213.06 mph, 1,000ft-4.580.

Whiteley is straight down the groove with another great pass, but will not improve. Annie Whiteley's incremental times: 60ft-0.958 sec., 330ft-2.488, 660ft-3.661/212.06 mph, 1,000ft-4.655.
