LAS VEGAS - Results of round 1 eliminations in Top Alcohol Funny Car at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 24th annual Ford Performance NHRA Nationals:

This is the first time Williamson and Martin have faced each other in eliminations.

Martin with the starting line advantage and never trailed for the win. Williamson shook and clicked it off.

McCosh with problems getting back to the starting line, he is pushed back. He gets the car to stage and he is out of the gate first and never trails for the win. Kanenwisher is out of the throttle early.

Hough is a tick too quick on the tree and turns on the red light to give Leanders the win. Leanders kept it hooked up and makes his quickest pass of the weekend for the win. He will give up lane choice to Ray Martin in the next round.

Hough's engine lets go on the top end with a huge fireball. He gets the car stopped and he is out of the roof hatch.
