LAS VEGAS - Results of round 1 eliminations in Top Alcohol Dragster at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 24th annual Ford Performance NHRA Nationals:

This is the first time Severance and Spiegel have faced each other in eliminations.

Spiegel just misses the tree and goes red giving the win to Severance.

Severance hits the throttle and the engine pops. The chutes come out and he comes to a stop about 10 feet from the starting line.
