LAS VEGAS - Notes from final, round 4 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 24th annual Ford Performance NHRA Nationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Kahea Woods Runs 7.250/185.69, Now #16; Best prior run: 7.135/187.99, Was #16
Right Lane: Malcolm Phillips Jr. Runs 7.010/188.23, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.980/188.44, Was #13

4:06 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 67 degrees, relative humidity 30 percent, barometer 29.71 inches, adjusted altitude 3,377 feet, track temperature 110 degrees.

Woods makes a clean pass but doesn't improve. Phillips makes another good pass but doesn't improve.

Right Lane: Steve Johnson Runs 6.949/191.10, Now #11; Best prior run: 6.959/191.21, Was #11

Howey makes a decent pass but doesn't improve. Johnson makes his quickest pass of the weekend but he stays in the 11th spot.

Left Lane: Ryan Oehler Runs 7.030/189.98, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.991/192.17, Was #14
Right Lane: Geno Scali Runs 9.066/99.16, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.941/194.24, Was #10

Oehler makes a decent run but he doesn't improve. Scali sat up on the bike about 700 feet out.

Left Lane: Chris Bostick Runs 6.937/194.74, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.961/192.58, Was #12
Right Lane: Marc Ingwersen Runs 6.982/191.02, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.878/196.76, Was #7

Bostick goes down the groove with his quickest pass of the weekend and he moves up to the tenth spot. Ingwersen was drifting to the left all the way through the run.

Chris Bostick's incremental times: 60ft-1.077 sec., 330ft-2.897, 660ft-4.442/158.63 mph, 1,000ft-5.786.

Right Lane: Chase Van Sant Runs 6.891/195.56, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.876/196.33, Was #6

Hall goes down the groove with a decent pass but he doesn't improve. Van Sant makes the quickest pass of the round so far but he doesn't improve.

John Hall's incremental times: 60ft-1.069 sec., 330ft-2.882, 660ft-4.418/159.53 mph, 1,000ft-5.756.

Chase Van Sant's incremental times: 60ft-1.056 sec., 330ft-2.870, 660ft-4.409/159.23 mph, 1,000ft-5.747.

Right Lane: Jianna Evaristo Runs 6.885/197.83, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.870/197.48, Was #5

Arana goes down the groove with an impressive run for the conditions and he moves up to the fourth spot. Evaristo makes a decent pass but drops a spot as Arana goes around her.

Hector Arana Jr's incremental times: 60ft-1.065 sec., 330ft-2.868, 660ft-4.389/160.77 mph, 1,000ft-5.716.

Left Lane: Angie Smith Runs 6.891/198.38, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.850/197.59, Was #3
Right Lane: Richard Gadson Runs 10.256/89.95, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.864/195.90, Was #5

Smith makes a decent run but doesn't improve. Gadson had problems and was off of the throttle early.

Left Lane: Matt Smith Runs 6.903/196.44, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.822/198.70, Was #2
Right Lane: Gaige Herrera Runs 6.851/196.27, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.813/198.20, Was #1

Smith slows from his earlier attempts. Herrera makes another good run but doesn't improve.

This is Herrera's 9th start from the top spot this year and the 23rd of his career.
