Pro Stock Motorcycle Qualifying Notes, Session #2

ENNIS, Texas - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock Motorcycle at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 39th annual Texas NHRA FallNationals listing lane, rider name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Steve Johnson Runs 6.935/193.81, Now #10; Best prior run: 7.302/145.02, Was #14

7:02 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 83 degrees, relative humidity 36 percent, barometer 30.04 inches, adjusted altitude 2,401 feet.

Johnson makes a full pass this time and gets in the show in the tenth spot for now.

Left Lane: Marc Ingwersen Runs 6.856/197.89, Now #6; Best prior run: 7.092/197.22, Was #14
Right Lane: Ron Tornow Runs 7.358/164.86, Now #15; Best prior run: 10.293/82.58, Was #15

Ingwersen goes down the groove with a good pass and he moves up to the sixth spot. Tornow had problems late in the run and was off of the throttle early.

Left Lane: Malcolm Phillips Jr. Runs 7.020/190.44, Now #14; Best prior run: 7.027/191.62, Was #14
Right Lane: Geno Scali Runs 6.905/196.64, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.903/195.89, Was #10

Phillips improves a little but does not improve. Scali makes a decent pass but doesn't improve.

Left Lane: Chase Van Sant Runs 6.833/199.59, Now #4; Best prior run: 7.006/198.40, Was #13
Right Lane: Hector Arana Jr Runs 6.835/199.72, Now #5; Best prior run: 6.892/196.84, Was #9

Van Sant improves and moves up to the fourth spot. Arana improves and moves up to the fifth spot for now.

Left Lane: Ryan Oehler Runs 6.956/192.88, Now #13; Best prior run: 6.995/192.39, Was #13
Right Lane: Chris Bostick Runs 6.900/197.06, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.877/197.76, Was #10

Oehler goes down the groove with a good pass but he stays in the 13th spot. Bostick slows from his earlier attempt.

Left Lane: Richard Gadson Runs 99.999/0.00, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.844/198.67, Was #7
Right Lane: Matt Smith Runs 13.985/56.25, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.859/198.12, Was #9

Gadson's time was disqualified after the run. Smith had problems and was off of the throttle early.

Left Lane: John Hall Runs 9.703/87.62, Now #4; Best prior run: 6.826/199.13, Was #3
Right Lane: Jianna Evaristo Runs 6.778/201.81, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.838/200.46, Was #7

Hall has problems and off of the throttle early. Evaristo goes down the groove with an impressive pass and goes all the way to the top.

Jianna Evaristo's incremental times: 60ft-1.080 sec., 330ft-2.860, 660ft-4.356/164.31 mph, 1,000ft-5.663.

Left Lane: Gaige Herrera Runs 6.757/201.21, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.791/200.10, Was #2
Right Lane: Angie Smith No Time, Now #3; Best prior run: 6.808/201.41, Was #3

Herrera goes down the groove with the quickest pass of the day to take the top spot. Smith did not make a pass.

Gaige Herrera's incremental times: 60ft-1.049 sec., 330ft-2.821, 660ft-4.323/163.26 mph, 1,000ft-5.636.
