Gaige Herrera, Erica Enders, J.R. Todd and Shawn Langdon celebrate wins

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- For the first time in team history, Kalitta Motorsports doubled-up in the nitro categories on Sunday at Gainesville Raceway, as Shawn Langdon and J.R. Todd picked up wins in Top Fuel and Funny Car, respectively, to kick off the 2024 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season at the 55th Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals.

Erica Enders (Pro Stock) and Gaige Herrera (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also won the first of 21 races during the 2024 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series.

Top Fuel winner Shawn Langdon drives the Kalitta Air Careers Top Fuel dragster.

Shawn Langdon, 3.711 seconds, 335.40 mph defeated Billy Torrence, 4.050 seconds, 228.50 mph.

Top Fuel's Shawn Langdon picked up his first win in four years on Sunday at the 2024 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season opener at Gainesville Raceway when he defeated Billy Torrence with the help of his 3.711-second pass at 335.40 mph.

Funny Car winner J.R. Todd drives the DHL Toyota GR Supra Funny Car.

J.R. Todd, Toyota GR Supra, 3.889 seconds, 329.10 mph defeated Austin Prock, Chevy Camaro, 5.360 seconds, 145.03 mph.

J.R. Todd picked up his second Funny Car win from the famed Gainesville Raceway on Sunday when he took out No. 1 qualifier Austin Prock in the final round with his 3.889-second at 329.10 mph to close out the AMALIE Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals.

Pro Stock Winner Erica Enders drives the Johnson's Horsepowered Garage / Melling Performance / SCAG Power Equipment Pro Stock Car.

Erica Enders, Chevy Camaro, 6.494 seconds, 211.93 mph defeated Cristian Cuadra, Ford Mustang, 18.386 seconds, 39.84 mph.

Pro Stock's Erica Enders secured her first AMALIE Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals win when she took out her teammate Cristian Cuadra with the help of her 6.494-second pass at 211.93 mph on Sunday at Gainesville Raceway.

Pro Stock Motorcycle winner Gaige Herrera rides the RevZilla/Mission Foods/Vance & Hines Suzuki.

Gaige Herrera, Suzuki, 6.636 seconds, 204.39 mph defeated Matt Smith, Buell, 6.748 seconds, 200.83 mph.

Pro Stock Motorcycle phenom Gaige Herrera collected his second consecutive AMALIE Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals title on Sunday when he defeated Matt Smith thanks to his 6.636-second pass at 204.39 mph in the final round at Gainesville Raceway.
