Pro Stock Qualifying Notes, Session #2

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Notes from round 2 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 55th annual NHRA Gatornationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time/top speed this round, position in order following run, best prior elapsed time/speed, and position in order prior to run:

Left Lane: Chris McGaha Runs 6.611/207.75, Now #12; No Prior Run

Weather conditions: air temperature 81 degrees, relative humidity 58 percent, barometer 29.92 inches, adjusted altitude 2,205 feet, track temperature 105 degrees.

McGsha with problems on the first run and didn't make a pass. He is straight down the groove.

Left Lane: Troy Coughlin Jr. Runs 6.563/209.82, Now #2; Best prior run: 7.939/125.52, Was #18

Coughlin with a good looking pass, straight down the groove to the number two spot. Troy Coughlin Jr.'s incremental times: 60ft-0.991 sec., 330ft-2.751, 660ft-4.223/166.91 mph, 1,000ft-5.493.

Left Lane: Camrie Caruso Runs 6.611/208.33, Now #13; Best prior run: 7.056/151.85, Was #18
Right Lane: Alan Prusiensky Runs 7.526/136.41, Now #19; No Prior Run

Caruso makes a quick move toward the centerline, but stays with it to tie McGaha's E.T.. She gets the position based on her faster speed.

Prusiensky makes a move toward the centerline, he reels it in, but gets loose again. He clicks it off.

Left Lane: Larry Morgan Runs 6.592/208.52, Now #9; Best prior run: 6.740/204.35, Was #17
Right Lane: Sienna Wildgust Runs 6.621/208.46, Now #17; No Prior Run

Morgan gets cross ways on the burnout. He is straight down the groove to the number nine spot.

Wildgust's round one got DQ'ed for fuel. She makes a clean pass, but will not get in the show.

Left Lane: Brandon Foster Runs 6.579/208.14, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.739/202.15, Was #18
Right Lane: Eric Latino Runs 6.601/208.17, Now #15; No Prior Run

Foster made a quick move toward the wall, but reeled it in and gets into the top half of the show.

LAtino is another car that was DQ'ed for fuel after round one. He is straight down the groove to get in the show.

Left Lane: David Cuadra Runs 6.575/209.20, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.600/208.84, Was #13
Right Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 6.561/208.65, Now #2; No Prior Run

Cuadra is straight down the groove to get into the top half of the show.

Anderson's first run was DQ'ed for fuel, also. Anderson launched hard and kept it hooked up and goes to the number two spot. Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-0.983 sec., 330ft-2.747, 660ft-4.219/166.99 mph, 1,000ft-5.489.

Left Lane: Deric Kramer Runs 6.574/208.88, Now #8; Best prior run: 6.598/208.68, Was #14
Right Lane: Mason McGaha Runs 6.636/206.80, Now #21; Best prior run: 6.913/202.24, Was #21

Kramer with a good clean pass to get into the top half of the show.

McGaha improves, but not enough to get in the show.

Left Lane: Kelley Murphy Runs 6.634/199.43, Now #14; Best prior run: 6.592/203.25, Was #14
Right Lane: Kenny Delco Runs 6.609/209.07, Now #17; Best prior run: 6.617/208.71, Was #19

No help here for Murphy, but still a good clean pass.

Delco is straight down the groove, but will not get in the show.

Left Lane: Jerry Tucker Runs 6.580/208.49, Now #12; Best prior run: 6.584/209.62, Was #11
Right Lane: Aaron Stanfield Runs 6.570/208.88, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.601/208.75, Was #15

Tucker with a great pass, his quickest. He gets bumped back a spot by Stanfield. Stanfield is straight down the groove to get into the top half of the show. Aaron Stanfield's incremental times: 60ft-0.980 sec., 330ft-2.749, 660ft-4.225/166.60 mph, 1,000ft-5.498.

Left Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.567/209.39, Now #7; Best prior run: 6.572/209.72, Was #8
Right Lane: Fernando Cuadra Jr. Runs 6.574/208.42, Now #10; Best prior run: 6.591/210.24, Was #13

This is a good looking side-by-side drag race.

Coughlin kept it hooked up and moves up the ladder one spot. Jeg Coughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.980 sec., 330ft-2.742, 660ft-4.218/166.35 mph, 1,000ft-5.493.

Cuadra Jr. with a good looking pass to move up the ladder three spots.

Left Lane: Matt Hartford Runs 6.574/209.52, Now #6; Best prior run: 6.567/209.92, Was #6
Right Lane: Dallas Glenn Runs 6.556/208.59, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.566/208.81, Was #5

Hartford with another good looking pass, but will not improve.

Glenn kept it hooked up all the way down the track to go to the number two spot. Dallas Glenn's incremental times: 60ft-0.982 sec., 330ft-2.740, 660ft-4.211/166.89 mph, 1,000ft-5.483.

Left Lane: Erica Enders Runs 6.550/207.88, Now #1; Best prior run: 6.564/209.82, Was #5
Right Lane: Cristian Cuadra Runs 6.552/209.10, Now #2; Best prior run: 6.552/209.20, Was #1

This is a great side-by-side drag race to wrap up day one of Pro Stock qualifying.

Enders launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number one spot. Erica Enders' incremental times: 60ft-0.976 sec., 330ft-2.734, 660ft-4.207/167.14 mph, 1,000ft-5.477.

Cuadra matches his run from earlier today and will finish day one in the number two spot. Cristian Cuadra's incremental times: 60ft-0.976 sec., 330ft-2.731, 660ft-4.204/166.83 mph, 1,000ft-5.478.

Eric Latino is on the bump spot at 6.601.
