Pro Stock Qualifying Notes, Session #1

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Notes from round 1 qualifying in Pro Stock at the NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series, 55th annual NHRA Gatornationals listing lane, driver name, elapsed time, top speed, and position in order following run:

Right Lane: Kelley Murphy Runs 6.592/203.25, Now #1

Weather conditions: air temperature 83 degrees, relative humidity 56 percent, barometer 29.96 inches, adjusted altitude 2,304 feet, track temperature 105 degrees.

Murphy is making his NHRA Pro stock debut here. Murphy is a part of the Elite Pro stock team. Murphy launches hard and kept it hooked up to make a good pass.

Left Lane: Sienna Wildgust Runs 6.660/205.51, Now #2
Right Lane: Brandon Foster Runs 6.739/202.15, Now #3

A couple more rookies to the Pro stock category. These two are a part of the KB/Titan Pro Stock fleet.

Wildgust is straight down the groove with a nice pass.

Foster with a good pass.

Left Lane: Kenny Delco Runs 6.617/208.71, Now #2
Right Lane: Larry Morgan Runs 6.740/204.35, Now #5

Delco starts to drift out of the groove, but reels it in and goes to the number two spot.

Morgan with a good pass.

Right Lane: David Cuadra Runs 6.600/208.84, Now #2

Cuadra is straight down the groove to the number two spot.

Left Lane: Alan Prusiensky No Time, Now #8
Right Lane: Jeg Coughlin Runs 6.572/209.72, Now #1

Prusiensky can't get the car to fire and is pushed off the starting line.

Coughlin launched hard and kept it hooked up and goes to the number one spot. Jeg Coughlin's incremental times: 60ft-0.986 sec., 330ft-2.752, 660ft-4.226/166.76 mph, 1,000ft-5.499.

Left Lane: Eric Latino Runs 7.166/193.05, Now #8
Right Lane: Chris McGaha No Time, Now #10

Latino bogged right at the hit, but stayed with it.

McGaha shut the car off at the end of the burnout, because he thought he heard a strang noise in the engine.

Left Lane: Mason McGaha Runs 6.913/202.24, Now #9
Right Lane: Jerry Tucker Runs 6.584/209.62, Now #2

McGaha with issues on the burnout and backs up and does it again, he shortens it up.

McGaha with issues early, but stays with it.

Tucker launched hard and kept it hooked up to go to the number two spot. Jerry Tucker's incremental times: 60ft-0.990 sec., 330ft-2.759, 660ft-4.236/166.37 mph, 1,000ft-5.511.

Left Lane: Fernando Cuadra Jr. Runs 6.591/210.24, Now #3
Right Lane: Camrie Caruso Runs 7.056/151.85, Now #11

Cuadra Jr. was straight down the groove and kept it hooked up to go to the number three spot. Fernando Cuadra Jr.'s incremental times: 60ft-0.990 sec., 330ft-2.760, 660ft-4.237/166.25 mph, 1,000ft-5.516.

Caruso started to shake and clicked it off.

Left Lane: Cristian Cuadra Runs 6.552/209.20, Now #1
Right Lane: Deric Kramer Runs 6.598/208.68, Now #6

Cuadra kept it hooked up and hitting on all eight to go to the number one spot. Cristian Cuadra's incremental times: 60ft-0.981 sec., 330ft-2.736, 660ft-4.204/166.70 mph, 1,000ft-5.478.

Kramer with a good looking pass, straight down the groove. Deric Kramer's incremental times: 60ft-0.995 sec., 330ft-2.760, 660ft-4.237/166.09 mph, 1,000ft-5.518.

Left Lane: Dallas Glenn Runs 6.566/208.81, Now #2
Right Lane: Troy Coughlin Jr. Runs 7.939/125.52, Now #16

Glenn launched hard and was straight down the groove to the number two spot. Dallas Glenn's incremental times: 60ft-0.978 sec., 330ft-2.743, 660ft-4.217/166.39 mph, 1,000ft-5.492.

Coughlin Jr. was real loose early and clicked it off

Left Lane: Aaron Stanfield Runs 6.601/208.75, Now #10
Right Lane: Matt Hartford Runs 6.567/209.92, Now #3

Stanfield with a clean pass.

Hartford with a good looking pass to go the number three spot. Matt Hartford's incremental times: 60ft-0.990 sec., 330ft-2.752, 660ft-4.223/167.01 mph, 1,000ft-5.495.

Left Lane: Greg Anderson Runs 6.563/209.62, Now #2
Right Lane: Erica Enders Runs 6.564/209.82, Now #3

This is a great side-by-side drag race to wrap up round one of Pro Stock.

Anderson goes to the number two spot...Greg Anderson's incremental times: 60ft-0.987 sec., 330ft-2.749, 660ft-4.221/166.68 mph, 1,000ft-5.492.

Enders is right there with Anderson to the three spot. Erica Enders' incremental times: 60ft-0.990 sec., 330ft-2.747, 660ft-4.220/166.46 mph, 1,000ft-5.492.
